If I remember correctly, the reason the vaginal canal isn't typically removed with a hysterectomy isn't just to preserve sexual function (although that is a big reason), it's because it's potentially dangerous and for little reward to do so. It also is a fairly unknown procedure because the only people who would desire such a thing are cancer patients with the most untreatable cancer imaginable, woman reaching a century of age where it's more trouble than it's worth, and FtMs.
I really dislike how nobody ever seems to warn these people about the risks with these surgeries or dissuade them in any way. If the person who posted this was considering a vaginectomy for any other reason, I'd be willing to believe half of the responses would be asking them to reconsider. Yet because they're transgender, the answer is "go through with it" by default and the real concern is how to do it.
