Whoever wrote this clearly dosen't have an immuno-compromised person in their life. It only really kills older people! Lmao some of us have very important older people or sickly people or chronic illness people or recovering from other illness people in our lives that we'd really not like to lose any time soon, certainly not because some bunch of idiots in a foreign country keep putting shit in their mouths that dosen't belong there.

It's not racist to point out the astronomical numbers of infection are in china, where it started. It's also not racist for people to suddenly be wary of the chinese, it's human nature to other people of a culture/race/sex when something negative is blowing up in the media about them.

I mean I get it. I live very rural and probably have very low likelihood of getting this unless it massively spreads but the news about it has been giving me anxiety because I do have older family even more likely to be susceptible than me. The fear at the back of your mind will make you do funny things, but in some people vehemently denying the reality of a suitation is how they cope. People want their concerns to be met with information that gives them that sigh of relief and let's them go back to life as usual, not all these unknowns. However, shit like this is not the way you go about it.
You know what, I'll take that a step further.
I am racist against the Chinese, and the more they whine about it, the more I am forced to think back to the few times I had the displeasure to experience the mighty Han gracing me with their presence.
And now, it is not manners or basic hygiene that is on the line, but the health and potentially lives of the most vulnerable among my friends & family.
So yeah, fuck the chinks and fuck them the second time for trying to shame us into submission to salve their bruised ego.

PLA logistics likely got hamstrung by the decision to tear up sections of road leading into the quarantined cities.

Dont think its that. Wuhan is a main cargo and passenger rail hub. Theres this:

but the PLA would certainly use the trains for personal and suppies.

So why are they not. And honestly you dont see many troops in the the videos and pictures that get out now. Now that just could be luck of the draw on what has gotten out but its funny. Could Poohbear Xi have written the city off and they're just going to let the city die off cause its so bad that there is no point throwing good money after bad?

I bet there's plenty of troops on the roadblocks and security cordon. Does anyone have any recent pictures? That could tell us a lot about how seriously the Chinese government is taking the quarantine.

I got a question, if anybody knows, about the people in Wuhan and other cities quarantined in China.

What will happen once their money runs out? I mean yeah right now they can buy groceries and other basic needs, no doubt because many had savings due to them expecting to spend a lot of money in New Year celebrations.

But, fact is, a lot of people aren't working right now because they are being asked to remain at their homes. So money isn't getting in, right? And unless Quarantine ends soon, which doesn't seem likely, their savings will eventually run out.

Just curious, and a bit worried.

Whoa. That says a lot. If the PLA's most elite force is asking for supplies, makes you wonder how well the average unit is supplied, then. Can't have a world-class military without world-class logistics.

The longer this goes on the more China shows itself to be a "hollow nation". Looks impressive from a distance. Up close little of substance, water system terrible, hospitals lacking. The country has lost more face than most plastic surgery patients.

China, a hollow nation whose Emperor has no clothes. Going to be hard to take China too seriously after this; their pretensions to greatness have blown up in their faces.

You could move stuff by tracked vehicles. But tearing up those roads is a sign of terminal exceptionalism.

To be fair, anyone who takes a passing interest in China and look into their affairs already knows how much of a paper tiger they are. It's just more apparent now to people who didn't really care before since them flubbing effective and quick response measures as well as seeing their health system get seriously fucked is easier-seen than going into details about how their economy is running stagnant and how their Belt and Road campaign is a desperate move by Xi to keep the economic engine running, among other things.

Not from China, but my understanding is that the extended holiday is still paid for the workers told to stay home. I think this is why there are stories about how Chinese banks are ready to sorta bail out businesses with low-interest loans when this is over (or something like that).

I also wonder how long food will be in stock in those regions. With all transport on lockdown, eventually people run out of food and then shit hits the fan. Given how much faith I have in China, I wouldn't put it past that shithole if the water supply is contaminated, too.

It's hard to tell how bad things truly are, but if our general idea of the situation is correct, then the fallout from a complete and utter standstill of a vast area such as this will have a huge impact, too.

Oi mate, you got a license to touch that wildlife.

It stops tards going up into church steeples and disturbing colonies of pipistrelles to distribute lyssavirus everywhere. Also it stops people waking up hibernating pipistrelles and killing them. Native UK bats are completely harmless and very shy unless idiots try to handle them and get defensive bites. Since the level of idiocy in the UK is unacceptably high, laws are used to protect the thinking from the actions of the exceptional. Also to protect the poor bats. Pipistrelles are so small they can fit into a matchbox and do not deserve the attentions of morons.

China's about to inject 174 billion dollary-doos worth of liquidity when the markets open tomorrow. I wouldn't worry so much about an American bank run, but a Chinese bank run in the next week is a distinct possibility. I don't think China has the financial tools and stability to handle what happens in the coming weeks and months. Maybe no one does, with how interconnected our economies are worldwide.

We got a winner.

The water is already contaminated. You have to boil the shit out of it before you drink it. Last time my wife and I visited her parents back on the mainland she got a serious case of the Shanghai Shits, because she didn't follow the instructions on the water-boiler-mug-thing she bought and drank water from the tap.

As for China as a whole: it is a mixed bag. On one hand, visiting is one of my favorite things to do. I've really never met someone (outside government employees or hotel workers) that I didn't like. I've never had to pay for meals and we've only ever paid for hotel stays sparingly, because my wife's friends are always eager to host us. Rural cops are even fairly friendly. Some of them. Rural China honestly feels like rural Tennessee or West Virginia in a lot of places. Generally poor folk who want to get you drunk on shitty beer. My kinda people.

At the same time, China is total shit. Most buildings were built by autists and maintained by autists. Customs and immigrations are faggots. The infrastructure system is falling apart. If you're poor, you're really fucking poor. The equivalent to niggers and white trash in China are those loud stereotypical chinks who spit everywhere and they are as bad as they sound. Subways are a fucking nightmare of rude people shoving into you. The same country that coats Qingdao in a perpetual fog of cancer will also fuck you up if you step on the grass at Westlake in Hangzhou. Railway employees are the absolute scum of the Earth.

Tl;dr: China is an abusive spouse that pays for your dinner and then slaps you for no reason when you get home.

Germany, again.

TL;DR:
- 2 of the 120 they brought home from the Wuhan region are infected.
- They're now in the clinic in Frankfurt in isolation
- The rest of the people will stay for 14 days in quarantine in the military barracks.
- Each time someone is also showing signs of infections and has the virus, the quarantine gets extended by two weeks.

- Apparently 10 of the people they brought back went to the hospital for 'other medical reasons' and 1 with corona suspicion.

- Another German who's currently on one of the Canary Islands is also confirmed infected.

Edit: numbers and sauces are hard.

Anybody coming back to Shanghai will have to self-quarantine for 14 days before being allowed to go to work or school again.

COOKED ALIVE
Terrified dog yelps as it is barbecued ALIVE in vile Chinese street market in shocking clip released by campaigners
SICK videos of dogs being burned alive in China’s cruel and dirty meat markets have been released by animal rights activists.

In one piece of footage, which The Sun Online has decided is too graphic to share, a person pours boiling water over a skinned dog.

Another video shows a dog still barking and opening its bloody jaw as it is barbecued alive.

Other footage shows animals stuffed in tiny cages next to animals who are skinned alive and slaughtered on site with no regard for sanitation.

The videos come from activists who are planning to march up to London’s Chinese embassy and demand an end to the dog meat trade.

A message from the campaign group, No to Dog Meat, says: “Your food markets have no control over sanitation and nor do the majority of your restaurants.

“It is time to end the live slaughter and abject cruelty to dogs and cats in your markets (including Wuhan). It is time to end the illegal trade of dogs and cats for food and fur.”

The animal’s meat is still in high demand in some regions.

Roughly 10 million dogs and four million cats are slaughtered every year in China, having been stolen from gardens, crammed into cages on the back of lorries and driven for days with no food or water.

I find it hard to feel sorry for anyone who are so cruel to animals.

At least people are trying to stop it.

We have some of those prefab container "room" buildings. They are referred to as "barracones", they were mostly built during the civil war and were intended as temporary. Since spain is a democracy it is absolutely illegal to house people in them. They're mostly used as warehouses and offices, and even then only for personnel that typically doesn't spend most of their time in the office, like cleaning personnel and shit like that. The most use they got was one module used as a school during the camps administration and people fucking RIOTED. I have seen the working conditions in there, and it gets so bad that pens stop working in winter due to freezing and can explode during the summer. They are THAT hard to isolate. And we're talking about areas with fairly mild temperature nothing inland where shit gets dry. The idea of making an entire hospital out of the bloody thing to keep people for prolongued periods of time is nightmarish, that's no hospital it's a quarantine deathcamp.

This is why I hate the 5000yo culture propaganda. Yeah, here in spain we can trace our culture since the iberians, phoenicians, romans, visigoths, etc. All the way from the stone ages, but we don't have a 5000yo culture, because we CHANGED WHAT DIDN'T WORK. Back in ww2 eith franco in charge we built shit like that, but we got better, we took out the bad and adapted to european advances, because we know if culture is bad for the population then it should be kicked to the curb in favor of what works, my problem with china isn't how horrifying their past is, it's that they refuse to learn, and these "hospitals" are yet further proof of that.

Nothing nicer than sitting out the garden with a cider on a summer night watching all the little bats fly by on the hunt.

There's this #NoMeat_NoCoronaVirus trend (with trend not being in quotes because, well, you'll see why) on Twitter right now with nearly a million tweets

pajet.png

and yeah, it's mostly Indian vegans telling others not to eat meat
