A transgender girl accused of assaulting two students at a Texas high school alleges that she was being bullied and was merely fighting back

Shocking video shows a student identified by police as Travez Perry violently punching, kicking and stomping on a girl in the hallway of Tomball High School.

The female student was transported to the hospital along with a male student, whom Perry allegedly kicked in the face and knocked unconscious.

According to the police report, Perry - who goes by 'Millie' - told officers that the victim has been bullying her and had posted a photo of her on social media with a negative comment.

One Tomball High School parent whose daughter knows Perry said that the 18-year-old had been the target of a death threat.

'From what my daughter has said that the girl that was the bully had posted a picture of Millie saying people like this should die,' the mother, who asked not to be identified by name, told DailyMail.com.

When Perry appeared in court on assault charges, her attorney told a judge that the teen has been undergoing a difficult transition from male to female and that: 'There's more to this story than meets the eye.'

Perry is currently out on bond, according to authorities.

The video of the altercation sparked a widespread debate on social media as some claim Perry was justified in standing up to her alleged bullies and others condemn her use of violence.

The mother who spoke with DailyMail.com has been one of Millie's most ardent defenders on Facebook.

'I do not condone violence at all. But situations like this show that people now a days, not just kids, think they can post what they want. Or say what they want without thinking of who they are hurting,' she said.

'Nobody knows what Millie has gone through, and this could have just been a final straw for her. That is all speculation of course because I don't personally know her or her family, but as a parent and someone who is part of the LGBTQ community this girl needs help and support, not grown men online talking about her private parts and shaming and mocking her.'

One Facebook commenter summed up the views of many, writing: 'This was brutal, and severe! I was bullied for years and never attacked anyone!'

Multiple commenters rejected the gender transition defense and classified the attack as a male senselessly beating a female.

One woman wrote on Facebook: 'This person will get off because they're transitioning. This is an animal. She kicked, and stomped, and beat...not okay. Bullying is not acceptable, but kicking someone in the head. Punishment doesn't fit the crime.'

I get a secret gamer girl vibe off him. I don't think he actually goes out in public wearing a Niqab. When he speaks he doesn't make any attempt to modulate his voice, or to pass in any way, he comes across as a typical British Hipster.

Sorry for the screencap quality (not mine),but you appear to be right.

In an 11-page ruling issued yesterday, Trump-appointed Judge Kyle Duncan of U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals deadnamed a trans inmate and denied her request to have her female name used on her incarceration records. He also denied her request to have prison guards use female pronouns when referring to her.

The inmate, Kathrine Nicole Jett, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for child pornography in 2012, came out as a trans woman and began hormone replacement therapy in 2015, and had her name changed by a Kentucky state court in 2018. She said misgendering by prison guards made her feel “uneasy,” “disrespected” and discriminated against because of her gender identity.

However, Duncan’s ruling against Jett fell largely along technical merits. He claimed that the inmate’s name-change documents had falsely claimed residence in Kentucky even though she was incarcerated in a Pennsylvania penitentiary at the time. Duncan added that her request was neither issued 14 days after sentencing nor to correct a clerical error, as required by the legal protocol.

While Duncan admits that some federal courts and prisons have used a trans inmate’s personal pronouns as “a courtesy,” he wrote that there’s no federal statute or rule requiring courts or judicial figures to use pronouns other than those matching the gender a litigant was assigned at birth.

He wrote, “If a court were to compel the use of particular pronouns at the invitation of litigants, it could raise delicate questions about judicial impartiality which ‘assures equal application of the law.'”

While acknowledging that many courts are debating trans rights, Duncan said courts that choose to use a trans litigant’s personal pronouns “may unintentionally convey tacit approval of the litigant’s underlying legal position.” In other words, he thinks it’s legally biased for a court to respect a trans person’s pronouns.

He also wrote that if he granted Jett’s request, then other inmates could require judicial figures to use more modern gender-neutral pronouns like xim, xyr, eir, hir, and faerself.

In the past, Duncan has called transgender people “delusional.” Before becoming a judge, he served as a lawyer in numerous LGBTQ rights trials — taking the anti-LGBTQ side each time.

Nice to see the alphabet people defending the rights of a convicted pedophile.

This is pretty big. "no authority permits a court to require litigants, judges, court personnel or anyone else" to use preferred pronouns. Not only do BS pronouns hinder communication, they "may unintentionally convey [the court's] tacit approval of the litigant’s underlying legal position.”
“We decline to enlist the federal judiciary in this quixotic undertaking,” the panel concluded.
USA! USA! :semperfidelis: This ruling comes as a relief after the BS we've seen from the UK, honestly. I know we're different countries, but trends still tend to flow from one to another sometimes. I can only hope that further court rulings accept this case as precedent (which is how our legal system generally works, but you never know).

And who was the beautiful lady who demanded that the court respect her very feminine pronouns?
The request was made by Norman Varner, a federal prisoner who appealed a lower court’s refusal to change the name on the court document ordering Varner’s confinement to “Kathrine Nicole Jett.” Varner plead guilty in 2012 to attempted receipt of child pornography and was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Varner earlier was convicted on a state charge of possession of child pornography and failure to register as a sex offender.
Of course. :story:

Apparently, he was allowed to use his lady-name as a "secondary name," but that wasn't enough for him. He "felt like" he was being discriminated against when others used male pronouns, despite not actually experiencing any discrimination (which rights of his were infringed on? what material necessities or comforts was he denied?), and on that basis pushed for total control over others' language and got shot down.

I forgot this one:

Interestingly, this case is ALSO about a pedo who tried to transition in prison. Hmm.

Edit:
Best of all? The judge is a You-Know-Who era bench appointment.
This seems to be a different case. Sorry. about that.
Nope. Same case. And I'm an idiot.

Trump-appointed judge rules trans people have no right to be called by their personal pronouns

How much longer until all the Troons in the Milky Way have an hero'd? Will they make it past the election?

I'd like to see the sources for this. My bet is that he probably referred to somebody who was having a psychotic break as delusional or something equally banal.

The future is a man in a wig terrorizing women.
I have to respect the way the Dollar Tree employee still squared off to the troon. I think what really caused him to go nuts was that he got a bit of push back, I'm willing to bet it was a relatively rare experience for him.

As a POI discount stores, have minimal staffing. So when that employee stood up to him, it wasn't as if 20+ staff were there to back her up.

This is the MURDER of BRAVE trans womyn!!!! uwu

Transgender woman Ava Moore Newry Northern Ireland gets £9,000 settlement from Debenhams
By Lara Keay For Mailonline
Published: 07:21 EST, 16 January 2020 | Updated: 09:14 EST, 16 January 2020

A transgender woman has won a £9,000 settlement from Debenhams after a sex discrimination case.

Ava Moore applied for a job at the department store in Newry, Northern Ireland in the weeks before Christmas of 2018.

She believes she performed well during the interview but there was a 'change in atmosphere' after she handed over her birth certificate, which stated her gender history.

Ms Moore also later received an anonymous email that suggested she didn't get the job because she is a transgender woman.

Debenhams settled the case, which was backed by the Equality Commission, without admitting liability.

She told the BBC: 'This job was exactly what I'd been looking for and I thought that I'd be really good at it,

'I felt that it didn't matter how hard I tried, or how well I performed at interview, it just seemed to me that my gender was more important than being able to do the job.

'What does my gender have to do with my ability to make sales?'

The Equality Act 2010 makes it illegal for employers to discriminate against current or prospective employees on the grounds of gender, sexuality, race, religion or a disability.

Ms Moore said the job rejection affected her confidence.

Debenhams said in a statement: 'We have agreed a settlement on the basis of no liability on the part of Debenhams.

'We are an equal opportunities employer, committed to promoting equality and diversity within the business and throughout the sector.

'Decisions on recruitment, training, promotion, and employment conditions are based solely on personal competence and performance.'

Maria Chadwick, Partner & Discrimination Department Manager at Stephensons Solicitors LLP, told MailOnline: 'The case of Ava Moore underlines how this type of negative approach remains a persistent problem, both in and outside of the work environment for the transgender community.

'This is widely reported to be a daily experience for most, leading to direct and indirect discrimination; even harassment whether intentional or otherwise, in the eyes of the law.

'Thankfully, the Equality Act does provide a measure of protection on the basis of sex and gender reassignment, though there are calls for this to be strengthened further.

'What is encouraging, in this case, is that such a familiar and influential high street name has reaffirmed its commitment to encouraging inclusion at all levels within its business, regardless of gender.

'The hope now is that other businesses, of all sizes, take note of their stance on this issue and follow suit.'

She said misgendering by prison guards made her feel “uneasy,” “disrespected” and discriminated against because of her gender identity.
Must not be doing too bad in there if the thing you're most worried about is the guards making you feel icky over being called the "wrong" pronouns.

Also prisoners don't have the same rights, so quit your crying, buttercup.

Just a note, that pedo story from the Metro is referring to an Iowa case here in the US. The offender is Joseph Matthew Smith, now going by Josie. And no, none of the experts cited in this article can back up the claim that lowering this guy’s T levels will somehow reduce his chances of reoffending, though it sounds like they are hobbled by certain parameters when it comes to proving recidivism.
Reduce recidivism? I'd only accept it as some mitigating factor in parole if it reduced it to zero. Otherwise you have to go though the parole process like everyone else, ideally just serving your full term.
The one on the left looks like a dude with too much botox.

> Forensic psychologist Dr Tracy Rogers told the Des Moines Register that laws require prosecutors to prove a sex offender has a chance of of re-offending greater than 51% for the rest of his life.

Fucking what. "Your Honor, yes, I murdered my parents, but seeing as I don't have other parents, my chance of reoffending is zero. You must let me go."
This.
