My guess is neither would accept the other as Binden's VP choice.

Either that or they each offered the other one the VP slot to tag team Binden but egos got in the way when both Bernie and Warren wanted top billing.

Either way Bernie ain't getting the nod now for sure and hopefully he spitefully tries to split off his voters to ensure another Trump wins. This way he can say I told you so for the rest of his short life.

I suspect its just the old "warren is a moronic opportunist who will immediately say and do anything her interns tell her will get her ahead in the polls without thinking about the consequences or how badly it will screw her over down the line" thing rearing its head again.

Im guessing one of the old hillary staffers on her team told her that smearing Bernie as an evil old white male misogynist would immediately tank his campaign and ensure she instantly gets all his supporters on her team forever as the one true progressive candidate, and she went along with this without a second thought despite how obvious it would be for anyone paying attention that this would fall apart within moments of it hitting the news cycle given how she is only now mentioning this sthuper important damning info on Bernie after months of cosying up to him and given how it completely contradicts bernies own record and his open endorsement and support of other female candidates.

Question is, given how badly this seems to have played out for her if what im seeing is correct, will she now abruptly try and backpedal and grovel before da boin in order to win back support, or will she double down and declare bernie an alt right sympathiser who is angry that he was beaten by a woman in 2016?

On the splitting California issue, my guess is they'd try to pull some of the most blatant gerrymandering in history over it. While most states are kind of squares or rectangles with squiggly bits around the edges or whatnot, the split-up California states would look like when a seven-year-old tries to create their first jigsaw puzzle and thinks that making all sorts of long protrusions into the other pieces is clever. They'd try to include one or more massive blue cities in each new state to make sure the suburban/rural plebes didn't get it into their heads that their votes meant anything, even if it meant sending a 100+ mile pseudopod out of one new state and into another.

You do onow the squiggly bits are usually rivers or other natural barriers, right?

But yes, I've also seen a 6 state solution that just so happens to have 1 of California's 6 largest cities in each state. Funny that...

Wow I expected it to be bad, I didn't expect it to be objectively terrible.

I'd bet my life savings there are some e-mails kicking around with some damn explicit campaign+CNN collusion in them, just like 2016.
 
There's two major reasons why the Democrats/CNN/etc. want to deny Bernie the nomination, again.

  1. Because Bernie believes what he spouts, he's a threat to the Pelosi neoliberal establishment. Sure, Nancy doesn't mind throwing the occasional sop to the Progs as long as it doesn't cost her or her business backers anything real. But since Bernie actually is running on challenging the current neoliberal arrangement, the DNC can't afford to have him win as it would encourage others like AOC to continue their attempted take over of the party.
  2. If Bernie were at the top of the ticket, he would lose in near-McGovern levels of suck. One, Bernie struggles with black voters, which is an especially precarious position given that Trump has gained among them over the past three years. Second, despite whatever Stephen Colbert has, most Americans are still averse to socialism. Yes, Bernie is technically running on a "social democratic" platform. However, that's not how he presents it. Standing on the debate stage with Trump proudly proclaiming his socialist bona fides will turn off the independents that the Dems are already losing thanks to impeachment. Biden will likely lose too, but not by as wide a margin. They have to strangle the Bernie baby in the cradle before its too late.
