I wondered the same thing as well. I would guess that the entire purpose of that post was to draw attention to the grandiose storytelling written with their sock-puppet account in the linked post. Pretty similar timeframe, Reddit rarely moves that fast.Idk if it was mentioned (and I know Im posting a lot more than usual), but whats up with this post they link to?

Because it is subpar fiction.Why is it that every one of these sympathy posts are written as dramatically as possible? If I were in that situation, posting on reddit would be the last thing on my mind, and I wouldn't recite it like I'm badly explaining a movie plot if I did.
