I think it's clear he's not an idiot. Most of the shit that went wrong to him could have happened to anyone that likes sex/lewd a little too much. Some bitches throw serious accusations at you publicly, you're famous and actually looks like a creep : it's game-over for you.

If anything he is too soft and kind, not stupid. He should have dumped Heidi a long time ago, when he wanted to do it the first time and she refused. That would have solved any of his problems.

He said he didn't recall talking with the first one, the second one he just seems to contact to confirm their age and had the same general conversation he had with others.

That's generally a big deal when you don't end the relationship first. I know the situation is fucked with that polygamy bullshit, but fucking other women before you divorce is generally a bad idea.
