Hating children and babies is age discrimination, it's no worse than hating 20 year olds, middle aged people or old people. You don't magically turn human when you are 18, and if people are treated as subhuman before 18, how are they ever going to develop self esteem and feel like they matter in the world? It's arguably worse to hate kids and teens because people are impressionable at that age, and being taught you don't matter because you're just some crotch goblin by even one person can fuck up your self esteem for life.

Uh, honey, that's your dog trying to play with the fun, fast-moving human puppy. Young, healthy dogs absolutely love to play. He probably misses being around people who let him act like a happy healthy dog instead of a rare porcelain vase and don't project their own insecurities onto him.

I feel like antinatalism is a bit of a different phenomenon (most childfrees are egomaniacs; most antinatalists are schizophrenics or severely depressed), but I guess it fits here.

Yeah, at least with antinatalists with serious issues, I can sort of respect them for not having kids. It's like they know they may not be able to do a good job of parenting or that they may cause further harm to themselves be having a kid so they choose not to. I can kind of respect that tbh because (urgh I cannot believe I'm going to say it) but childfree is a little right that there can be pressure to have kids and a mentality of "just do it, it'll be fine!"
 
I think a lot of these people were abused as children and hate children because it reminds them of that period in their life. I also think they are also extremely afraid of potentially abusing a child if they have one or are left around one. They see a child and it is like when you show an insecure person an extremely unflattering picture of themselves, it disgusts or angers them and they want you to put it away. Some people would even rip the picture up.

The ones that have an overt affection for animals and hate children more than likely have an underlying hatred for humanity all together due to a lifelong mistreatment. I'd assume they were abused as children, bullied in school, and never went onto create social connections during adulthood. These people probably have a hard time finding a long term mate, ensuring they won't have children anyway. Women have a short window to produce a likely healthy baby. I would not be surprised if these people actually long for a family but know they will never have one, which is why they adopt animals to fill the void. Basically, they hate what they can't have.

Can't tell you how many times I've seen "it all works out/God will provide" gets brought up when someone brings up financial worries with regards to children. People advise you to throw your worries to the wind and just have babies, otherwise "if you wait until you're financially stable you'll never have kids!!!!".

Yeah, she's 17.

She says she wants to be sterilized because she has 'vomit-inducing periods'. This is a common issue among childfree women. Another poster in the thread says she can't even move on the first day of hers because she's in so much pain, and that she has endometriosis.

Also found a recent post from an 18 year old who's already scheduled a vasectomy. Wow.
