Cynthia, thank you for posting the business plan. It is clear to me that this person does not have any experience in the film industry, fails at basic arithmetic within the document, and overall this was cobbled together to earn your trust and take your money. I'm sorry you got your hopes up but this is not worth any further payments or contact with this individual.

3.3 Capital requirement

For efficient and qualitative production of “The Incredible Tale of Mr. Wogglebug” it is estimated that a total sum of $1,500,000 (One Million, Five Hundred Thousand United States American Dollars) will need to be expended. The full computation of how this money will be disbursed is included at the end of this Business Plan.

Presently, the sum of $100,000 has been generated from the sale of the eBook version of the Film. The eBook of this film is currently being sold online. It is available on notable eCommerce websites such as www.amazon.com, www.amazon.in, www.amazon.co.uk . Plans are ongoing at expanding the sales outlet of the eBook.

It is imperative, Nevertheless, to say that WogglbugLove Productions Inc., will still need as much as the required sum of $1.0Million to realized its ambition of making the film a reality.

He doesn't even spell the name of your proposed company correctly.

I don't know anything about making a business plan. That is why I need to hire someone to do it for me.

For the record Simeon has also introduced me to Notion Press, a self-publishing company that will do marketing and distributing for me. Would you like to look them up to see if they're a scam?

The first hit on google for a Notion Press is based in India and handles printing ebooks and paper books. I thought this whole plan was to make a live action movie. You have already published illustrated stories, these folks aren't going to help you get a movie made.

I noticed that several times in Simeon's jumbled mess of a plan he confuses making a movie and publishing an ebook. They are entirety different things and you would approach them differently. What Simeon delivered to you is not a business plan in any common sense of the word so I believe you are within your rights to immedately sever contact with him and refuse further payments. I am not a lawyer but I don't believe he has any hold over you legally.

Simeon has gotten enough out of you - please cut off contact. How are you paying him? Does he have electronic access to your bank account? If he does, please go to the bank tomorrow and explain you think there may be fraudulent activity on your account and you need their help to halt any external access to the account.

Did you register a company with his name on the paperwork? Close that too. Get rid of him.

It's important to clean this up now so you don't get taken advantage of further. As for your movie, there are other approaches to realize that dream. This guy isn't it.

Simeon recommended I publish my movie novelizations through Notion Press to gain funds to help finance the movie with.

And I don't have a bank account and have been paying him through Western Union. And I haven't even registered my company yet.

Check to see if your local community college has a film program. If they do get one of the film students (or even one of the professors) to help you make a five to ten minute short with a budget between $150-300 dollars. The content of this five to ten minute short should sell your Wogglebug idea as something that could be made into a movie.. Doing this through a community college allows you access to cameras, equipment, extras, actors and actresses (Acting One classes will often pitch in to help as it gives the students practice) and rooms to film in. After your short is made have a family member drive you/take Uber to a film festival/convention where you'll have a chance to meet actual professionals/business contacts in the industry who will be more than happy to help you get started. And if you're doubtful of this method this is how Mike Judge (of King of the Hill and Beavis and Butthead fame) got noticed.
This is excellent advice. And she'll never do any of it. She strikes me as insanely lazy... she's already proven she can't even be fucked to google things for herself. I think that's why she's fine with paying this Nigerian guy all this money, because she thinks he's going to do all the work to make this bedbug movie happen, and all she'll have to do is cash the royalty checks and accept the Oscars.

Simeon gave me the number of Film Connection Limited and recommended I call them. He said calling them instead of emailing them will enable me to read them and tell whether the person speaking to me is genuine or now. What are some things you think I should ask them?

You can try asking for their address and their film reputation, for starters.

Please stop paying this man and chalk this experience up to a lesson learned

This is the second time you try to dissuade the accusation of this motherfucker Simeon being a scammer by pointing out that he set you up with even more scams on the side.

This is not meant to be an insult, but you are not very intelligent and as long as people praise Wogglebug-stuff, you will believe them anything. Go to an adult or your handler and tell them this happened. You need to have your money supervised, since it's piss easy to lure you into paying ridiculous amounts of money in exchange for crap.
I could sell you magic beans in exchange for a couple grand by claiming I like Wogglebug. This is how gullible you are. You can't handle money and you should not handle money.

This is stupid logic, and it makes me think the number he gave you will direct you to one of his scamming buddies. If this is an actual business who finance movies, why would they be anything but professional and serious when speaking to a potential client?

Tbh with all the money Cynthia's spent over the past decade or whatever trying to get a Dr. Cockroach movie made, she could have already had enough to just commission a life-sized sex doll replica of him.

This thread makes me depressed. (:_(

Cynthia, do you still live with your parents? Do they know about Simeon and all the money you've sent him? What is their opinion of all this Wogglebug business?

No, I don't live with my parents anymore. My father is dead but I still call my mother most every day. And no, she doesn't know about Simeon. She knows I'm making movies and writing books, but she doesn't know anything about them, either. And my aunt doesn't know about him, either. I just told her I wanted the pictures for my Facebook. I get my money from them and just tell them I am paying off other kinds of people I am working on books and movies with (illustrators, voice actors, ect.) I can't tell them about how I've been paying Simeon because I started to tell my mother in January and found out she doesn't trust foreigners. And she said she would get in touch with an agency where we live to help me get my movie made. But I'm sure she lacks the skills and intelligence to do so, however she may want to. She must not and never will know about Simeon anymore than she ever will about this forum thread. And since she doesn't even have a computer there is no need to worry about that.

I've been skimming through your business plan. In it, it's stated that you've generated $100,000 in eBook sales. Is this true?

Also, in it, Simeon introduces himself as a minister of Jesus Christ and a religious author. Does this upset you at all?

No. I haven't even finished the novelization of the movie yet, let alone published it. Simeon just assumes I will make that much in the book sales.

And I know he is those things, and yes it does upset somewhat but he doesn't know that or what my anti-religious views are. I was too afraid to tell him for fear he wouldn't want to help me anymore. He doesn't have to know either. What doesn't know about me won't hurt him.
