I used to think the IRS was the be-all end-all of government agencies that could fuck you in the ass with impunity. Scientology proved me wrong by exposing the cracks in their foundation. Literally the only reason Booker has gotten anywhere is his skin color(lol can we get a 23 and me on that %) and the stupidity of New Jersey voters who will keep a piece of shit like Bob Menendez in office(even after the DNC asked him to step the fuck down because he is such a tremendous scumbag).

Side note: All of these currently sitting politicians who are running for president should be docked pay. You shouldn't be able to run for president and keep your current position.

A lot of people in Washington are pissed off at Jay Inslee over this. He's on the presidential campaign trail, which means he's actively ignoring local issues in his own state. He's running on "I can save you from climate change," but since he's become governor of WA, carbon emissions have increseased. Although being totally absent for the people of his state, he's still drawing a paycheck as governor and using state resources for a national campaign. This is a weird area though. City council members worth millions on their own call their police forces gangs of minority murderers, then get sued by the police unions only to have tax dollars pay for their extremely expensive legal defenses and payouts. Seattle spent more money defending Kshama Sawant (fucking crazy person) from defamation suits than some states have in their budgets.

So I think you do tend to do the second thing sometimes, although I don't think you are generally dishonest, it's more likely you just aren't looking for the examples of the left's bad actions, due to your bias.

Add to that you are going against the prevailing opinion and many of your arguments appear superficially similar to the driveby "lol fuck drumpf" posts.

Yeah, definitely that is part of it too. And I imagine to those with a lefty bias, saying that probably seems insane, given that the president is a republican right now.

But popular media is all over calling out the right as evil bigoted small minded nazis. You don't see much criticism of the left in popular media at all, except to complain they're not impeaching trump enough.

But, some of it is on us to separate that feeling from the reality of any individual conversation. @ProgKing of the North is not the entire mainstream media, just as you and I are not the entire right wing. And here, at the farms, that 90-10 representation is not the case.

It doesn't help that every time there's a news story droves of trolls sign up here to drop copypasta nonsense lefty arguments that superficially looks similar to actual thoughtful lefty rhetoric. We get the right wing trolls too, surely, but they seem mostly content to stick with "ironic" racism and what have you... Its easy to separate them from the people being earnest, I think.
