The outcome of the lawsuit isn't going to determine all that.
This isn't a criminal trial so there is no scenario where Vic can be found guilty. He can lose his case, but even that does not therefore mean that the defendants were telling the truth. He could lose for any number of reasons that have nothing to do with the truth of the matter. If the lawsuit were dismissed, all that might prove is that it's hard for a public figure to sue for defamation. In the same way, Vic winning his case doesn't therefore disprove all of the allegations lodged against him. Most of those aren't even going to be taken into consideration. His victory might mean as little as the defendants not having the financial resources to fight a protracted legal battle.
While true, the outcome could give a strong suggestion one way or another.
If it goes to trial (and let's just look at defamation and ignore tortoise interference), and Vic wins. That means a jury found it more likely than not that the defendants are liars. And these liars--at least Monica and Jamie--are peers of Vic who are verified identities, had known him for years, personally and professionally. If they are declared liars by a jury, it seems less likey that Random Costhot A, B, C, and D would have a stronger case.
Let's say they settle (and I'm almost certain if they do there's going to be a Quartering-style public retraction). Why would they settle? Truth is an absolute defense to defamation. All they had to do was provide damning evidence, and Vic loses. Money might be an issue, sure, but none of the parties are Armzgurl levels of poor.
Let's say it goes to trial and Vic loses. That means the jury found the allegations against him to be more likely to be true than not true, which means he's more likely to be a some kind of predator/molester/whatever than not.
And if Vic drops the case? He has almost $200k free money to play with. If he just drops it, and we assume Ty didn't do some stupid clerical error to get it dismissed, it would suggest something damning came up and they don't want to pursue it anymore.
