A short parable in relation to Phil.
A man is sitting on the lake shore smoking cigarettes and drinking beer while fishing. Another man pulls up to the boat launch and starts to put his boat into the water. The first man looks jealously at the other and drunkenly yells, "I wish I was rich like that asshole and could afford a boat!" The second man says, "I make the same amount of money as you. I just didn't spend it on cigarettes and beer."
The first man is Phil. He allegedly makes $100k a year. He claims to have no money. Yet he also claims to eat out at least three times a week. Buys precooked frozen meals opting for convenience over price. Goes shopping at the mall for children's graphic tshirts and stuffed animals. Pays to watch wrestling and Netflix. Has two internet lines. Etc.
Phil could afford a new laptop but he spent that money on food and garbage.

You can literally create a restore drive on a 16 GB thumb drive. They're like ten bucks on Amazon.
Or you can use one of your several hundred hard drives.
Or you can go back to your remedial computer class in undergrad where you should've learned that you don't need a restore drive to cleanup/defrag which are steps one and two that any Geek Squad agent will charge you $79.99 to tell you to do first. This is, for I swear to fuck the hundredth time, something that he could do sitting on the couch drunk off his ass with no additional input. Set it to run and by the time he wakes up from drinking himself unconscious it'll be done.
What a helpless fucking child.

And he's a fuckface anyway for losing the boot disk for his OS in the first place. Phil's a member of the first generation to come up using the internet and somehow he makes every mistake people twice his age make with computers.
I'm triggered as hell. People who won't maintain their equipment and instead just go "lol I'll just buy a new one!" should be curbstomped. Since DSP wants other people to pay for it then it'd be fine if a dog came along and raped his corpse after the fact.

I hope Atlus trolls the fuck out of him and just bans him specifically from streaming/uploading the game. I wonder if he's still on their radar after the P3 ragequit.

He is still under their radar. He almost terminated P5 playthrough before the last 2 dungeons because he got a couple of copyright strikes from Atlus and then swore to never again play another Atlus game.
But he will go at it again, we all know it.

Let's be honest here. Phil doesn't truly like games. He only says that because that's the facade he has to play while doing his "job". He hates games. Phil sucks at them, and his inability to play them combined with his impatience and inability to take blame has made him hated on an international scale. If Phil had a good paying job, he'd probably take each of his systems behind a firing line and shoot them all for the years of pain and misery they've given him.
But until then (which will never happen), Phil is doomed to play games he doesn't like for the rest of his life, while pretending to like them for appearances. But hey, he lives a good life, dood!
