Super's animation has been wonky at times but there are several episodes from the tournament of power that look just as good as some of the Z movies, compare scenes like "universe 7's last stand" to the "bye guys" scene from Z. Quality peaks and dives in both series but people like to batter super for it because of how bad it looked at the begining.

It would not just be Dragon Ball, but also One Piece and all other Toei property.

It's true that they would lose the other Toei properties. The thing is, Dragon Ball is the biggest Toei property they have and Funimation's biggest license. They lose Dragon Ball, they lose their relevance. The lose of the likes of One Piece would only be part of the fallout.
