They did literally just book a night some bar and hung out for a few hours. They even did a trip in Europe, hung out with fans in Amsterdam, England, etc. They used to have these meetups fairly regularly and as far as I recall they never raised $4-5k for it. The difference is that TJ was doing DP mostly for fun. He was sitting on a 1M sub channel and could've done streams on his own and gotten more money for himself in the process. Instead he grew and alternative channel with his friends and created a neat little fandom. It all became cancer fairly quickly, but it had a good 1-2 year run.

Ralph could never be as good as TJ at this e-celeb shit.

I saw Ralph called the Gunt first in the Tooter threads when JImbo's fanbase raided Tooter's livestream and made him on air ask Josh why he "doxed Gunt" and then I found out it was his new nickname. And now I check back on his thread and he eats literal garbage just like our favorite tranny granny. :story:

I'm eager to see what comes of the next show, in regard to Zidan:
he barely spoke during Friday's show, & when he did the sound quality was so shitty that I legit can't help be wonder if it was really him.
It likely was, but still, it was very weird, like he was barely there at all.

Did the gunt meme originate before or after he & Warski had already concocted their "IRL meetups" idea?
If the meme began after, or even if it began prior but hadn't yet spread far, that might have a lot to do with it.
He legit didn't realize just how insecure he actually is about his appearance until suddenly gunt memes were haunting his dreams.

The gunt meme originated from a fan photo from the start of Knoxville
So definitely before the IRL meetups idea was concocted
There were weeks of Ethan ignoring it, or outright banning any mention
I think he legitimately thought that strategy would pay off, but it quickly passed the point where he could even claim the meme
 
You guys have to admit your entertained otherwise you wouldn't care. Personally I hope he eats more homeless cuisine, gets drunk more often, and gets in cat fights with other gunts. The best part is that it's free.

Now that I look back in this thread (& Warski's), the IRL meetups idea (& IndyGoGo campaign) was launched much earlier than I remembered.
It's first mentioned in Warski's thread on 24 January.
Meanwhile, though the gunt meme clearly was beginning to circulate, it wasn't yet "common knowledge" even in the first week of February, as evidenced by comments in the archive of Metokur's stream on Tuesday 5 February
(see the highlighted comment: one of 3 separate comments asking wtf "guntgate" is.)
So yeah, I think it's safe to say Ralph didn't realize the ridicule he'd be in for.

It's already gotten there for me. Ralph's destroyed himself and frankly, I find what spergy supporters of his are still left more entertaining than the Guntmeister himself.

That was Zidan, he did a call in when he was away from his PC a few months back when he went to Canada. He called in on husband phone and it was the same quality as it was on Friday.

Now this could mean that he is still outta country and might not be here Monday. Who knows it kinda looks like he is still with the group.
