Here's a bit of advice for you guys: if you're running low on money, just go and punch some dumb furry in the face, take their wallet and just blame your "deprussion" when you're called out on it.
A few days back,
there was a post here about Vani/ashketchumsays bailing on their clients (some of whom are reportedly their friends, how lovely) and wiping their social media because being called out for being a shameless con artist who has been scamming their clients for nearly a decade was just too much for their fragile mind
(although their shop and Patreon were apparently left up - make of that what you will). However, the source of drama hasn't really been Vani themselves with them going AWOL and such but an intense shitshow about how cruel Vani's critics are for not taking what is probably their 3rd or 4th "disappearance" seriously.
The most popular source of this bizarre mindset is here, though there are more if you look through their tag:

This exceptional individual
(who claims that Vani also owes them art like it somehow authorises them to speak over any other clients) also somehow misinterpreted the words of CyndiFA
(the one client Vani actually tried to slander when they asked for updates). Apparently, being glad that Vani was supposedly leaving the fandom is akin to saying 'i'm glad they may be dead' if your white knighting has left you with zero reading comprehension:

Why anybody who purely has a professional contact with Vani should be concerned about their mental health is anyone's guess but you can bet the ever classy furry community are going to try and argue that, somehow, you're the biggest piece of shit alive if you don't care about every aspect of a professional's personal life. Be sure to try and find out whether or not that one McDonald's employee who spat in your burger has "suicidal tendencies" before you complain to their manager because, according to furries, you're completely void of human compassion if you feel it's actually none of your business/concern.
There was also a long ass bitchfest between the aforementioned autist and one of Vani's more vocal critics about the supposed ethics of being skeptical of a known thief bailing with other people's $$$ without a word to anyone:

Despite the fact that absolutely nobody wished that Vani had killed themselves (because there was no sign of it in the tags and how the fuck would they get their art/money otherwise?), Vani's fantards - sorry, "friends" - are running with this version of events despite a complete lack of evidence and the harsh reality that this is apparently standard procedure for Vani - and any furry scam artist, for that matter - when they get called out for their shit.
They also apparently posted "a suicide note" a month or so back (conveniently around the time this beware appeared) but I don't know if it's been saved by anyone.
Either way, don't tell these furries that anybody with an iota of imagination could just write up a suicide note to bait for sympathy points in the event of a scandal, because that makes you a shit heap of a human being. As opposed to one who robs their clients, apparently.
So, with that said, be sure to add 1+ suicide note if having "mental health problems" doesn't give you enough leeway to outright rob a person. Doesn't even have to have an iota of honesty. Some idiot in the furry community will surely believe you and will probably just hurl their wallet at you even when you're in court for shooting up a bank.
Oh, yes and Vani has since posted an update through their friend on their Twitter so they were perfectly fine all along. Just like all the other times they've "disappeared" and come back. How shocking:

Probably missed a few citations here and there but this is the root of it.
