That article was written in 2016 though.
That´s my point. He said "you could probably call me alt right" in 2016. He did the holocaust denial stream in 2018. So, saying "alt right meant something different in 2016" won´t wash the alt right stink off him in 2019. He might as well just embrace being called alt right.

I might be an optics cuck but calling yourself something that the general population sees as a negative characteristic isn’t a big brain endeavor.

This is one hell of a roller coaster ride.
Whats getting me is how much started of jokes about Ralphs Gunt
even when him not being in shape felt as repeated as Gators Soundboard and "I was in jail" comments.
Anyone else remember when Tonka tried to own superberries and Donga? Anyone else remember how poorly that worked out?
You can’t own something like the gunt, it’s a mark of shame.

I think it was more of the stream they did after the synagogue shooting and all those spicy superchats that got them banned. People can tolerate a debate about the holocaust because you can claim an adhearence to free speech. Those same people though are less tolerant and less willing to accept such principles when you're dunking on shooting victims a day or two after.

To be fair, that sort of meant something else pre 2016 general election
See I used to think that too, but now I think the meaning was the same then than it is now the problem was you had people who were
A.)Normies/Non channers
B.)A-political people till now
C.)People like Sargon or Milo who have used movements or memes like ones from /pol/ and change the meaning behind them to make money and become e-famous, but then drop it when it becomes to hot.(example: Pepe and Kekistan).
and
D.)A terrible game of telephone
It was the same thing with gamergate it was originally I want these re.tards to leave my hobby alone to ethics in gaming journalism which was bullshit. In the case of the Alt-Right their ideology was too hot to handle so they were able to sort of take it back, but with the net negative that normies started disavowing and the media has now used it to wrongfully tar and feather anyone who holds right leaning or libertarian values making it so it's a catch all phrase and not a specific ideology with tenants and values even though that is the case.
Edit: So in other news Ralph is no different than the people he criticizes and shouldn't have touched de poopoo.
Edit 2: @Unog Hit the nail on the head someone like Ralph who's takes aren't very researched to begin with
probably didn't take the time to figure out hey this doesn't mean what I think it means like usual.
Also Anglin makes me chuckle.

Zidan more than likely works in supply chain finance or management. This would make sense as to why he is China, he is probably establishing a new account with a supplier. A standard accountant would have no reason to travel and he def doesn't seem like he works for the government.

Reasonable speculation. I would, however, caution you against ruling out government based on personality. In such a large pool of people, you're going to have all types represented. Especially when the effort to benefit ratio is generally so skewed in the employee's favour

I stopped caring for anything Alt-Right related the minute it went from online shitposting to IRL movements. I posted the thing about Anglin before I noticed that he just wrote an article on this exact thing, and I pretty much agree with him. It's more or less the Nick Fuentes take on it, but even then I wouldn't say that any of this stuff should spill out into real life.

If Ethan wants to call himself Alt-Right that would be totally fine if it didn't have all those people with their faces out attached to the label. A guy who watches cuck porn and lusts after minorities is the quintessential /pol/ac.

Sure there was always the faction that owns the label now, but it was a wider tent in 2016 for all of the reasons you listed. Alt-right was virtually synonymous with dissident right at the time although more internet savvy people knew better than to give themselves such a broad label because of the very real possibility of this happening.

I guess it really depends on if you're the "the definition of a word depends on what the majority's definition of it is" type or the "words have meaning and it's set in stone, no matter how many say otherwise" type. It really goes both ways on the alt-right "meaning two different things" topic, though my opinion is that people (mainly on the right) desperately push that it meant two different things because a whole lotta people don't want to feel like fucking retards for giving themselves a label without bothering to actually check what it meant.

@Memology 101 wrangle your tards man. Andy flagged @DispatchCommit down, so expect a vendetta to come your way.

Edit: Which is particularly dumb because he was what was making Andy watchable. Also, people were trying to flag you down before to mess with Ralph, but I imagine this will give people the "righteous cause" they need to amp it up

Dispatch was trying to flag Ralph down last night on air so he kinda gets what he dishes.

Even Andrew Anglin says you shouldn't call yourself "Alt-Right" lmfao.
Sure, but this statement was made in a different political climate. At the time alt-right wasn't commonly associated with white identity politics, which is probably the point that the gunt deviated from it.

Since when did Ralph depart from white identity politics? This is news to me.

Ralph is in Washington with Andy right now, isn’t he?
Oh lord I can already feel the autism coming from Dispatch after being flagged.
Get your popcorn ?
