Furries are autismal social creatures. A YCH like this is bought not for the quality of the art, but because it's a status symbol. The person who bought this now has a giant, swinging e-peen of social cred among other furries.

Which is even worse. These same furries probably wouldn't give a shit if you spent $5000 on way better-looking art because it's not from a specific artist they wank over.
 
It's wierd. They will be ridiculed for spending so much on the art yet those same people will brown-nose the buyer in hopes of gift art and having their own status pulled up by association

Again, it’s really similar to that shit like Supreme where they’re essentially not bad themselves, just overpriced. And on top of that, you get people who think that they’re better than other people because they could afford it or just merely got it.

Just commission another artist if you don’t like his prices. There are plenty of other artists that are honestly better than him that you could commission for far less than the price of a car. Let the free market decide Miles’ fate. Furries are known for charging next to nothing compared to what professional artists do, so just go to the people you can afford that you like the style of. It’s not hard.

Who gives a shit what's supposedly standard or not and who gives a shit what the subject is? Do you all bitch about people paying $50k for a shitty modern art piece that's just acrylic paint splattered on a 5' canvas because the painter was on suicide watch and needed to vent? For artists like these moving into extreme fetish content always seems like a good move so long as they don't value their reputation. People who get their rocks off to weird and obscure shit have way lower standards than the general market so they can get paid the same with way less effort.
