Well to be fair, both of them have so much in common, they are violent, extremely cruel, unfair and at times psychopathic, and denies their crimes. Sounds like Chris and him would make natural allies... I swear to god this is why people are starting a rebellion against him...

Maybe he thought about it and didn't understand Wise and Boyd's reasons for lying about alternate dimensions and Ted Bundy. In his mind he must be looking for direct reasons for each lie, so he must think "they lied to me about the moon laser being aimed at CWCville so I would send them money, but why would they lie to me about Ted Bundy being framed? Guess that must be true then, can't see any reason to doubt them"
like he doesn't understand that they lied to him about that too so they could laugh at him when he goes and defends Ted Bundy on twitter.

Was this always the way with Chris?

Where did his reality grasp went so fucked up to start actually believing this wccnery?! Chris could differentiate the real world and his make-believe CWCVille, IMHO. Even being so gullible in RL events, he could clearly separate things one from another, didn't he?

Maybe I'm missing something there.

Even if that were true of Chris, why would Ted Bundy even team up with someone like Chris when Ted hasn't been caught for a long time because he didn't stand out?

This is the same person that equated ISIS's bombings to that of "a cartoon villain". His mind always has to break down serious events to childlike comparisons so he can even attempt to understand what's happening. The Idea Guys took that mindset and put it to its logical extreme. Under their influence, anything can be broken down and spoonfed to Chris in kiddy-fied portions.

ISIS can be the antagonists of a cartoon. A serial killer can be a misunderstood innocent man that was convicted of something he didn't do. At this point, you can tell Chris anything and he'll likely believe it.

It's actually somewhat stupider than that.

Chris thinks that Wise and Boyd were fucking with him AND they just so happened to draw inspiration from real events in the other universe or some shit. Like they unintentionally acted like dowsing rods.

Yeah, no. The family and friends of girls like Nancy Wilcox, mountains of evidence, and Bundy himself all disagree. Chris can go fuck himself. He really needs to stick with things he understands, like plastic pastel ponies, video games, cartoons, and other childish things meant for people with the mentality of an eight year old, and leave mature subjects like the guilt of serial killers to the real adults.
