Good morning Kiwis. Our favorite insane lady is doing another interview on NPR with the EIC of Polygon! It's a full hour so you can expect her to be a giant ball of frothing, hand-wringing insanity if the host opens up the phone lines

I only really listen to the interviews when I hear she chimps out a bit. She uses the same talking points so you could really just use a single image and loop a short audio file together and it'd be like seeing every interview she's ever done.

I found this last night. IA did a chat with Thunderf00t and Justicar about atheism+ and its parallels with anti-gg.
The tl;dw of it is that a lot of the same shit happened to atheism that is happening in gaming. The extreme "you're either with us or against us" attitude. The throwing around of accusations like "misogyny" that don't even make any sense. The media influence that gives certain people interviews and articles long after they've been discredited. But ultimately it fell apart, because their only skill was being a professional victim. That doesn't have a very long shelf life. The difference is that games are an industry, one that actually creates and sells products. They don't know how to actually build anything, which is kind of super important in the game industry.

I don't think we have much to worry about. If it goes anything like atheism, there will still be SJWs in the game industry, but they won't be taken seriously.
 
Talk around the water cooler is the shadowy They are planning to make a push and attack archiving sites for "illegally republishing content". The basis of this claim should be considered, at best, farcical. They, however, have not let things such as logic or reasonability cloud their decisions.

That's really cool, and that's a charity I really get behind and support. My partner did some work with Extra Life over this past weekend as well and raised almost $1,000 -- however, he elected not to broadcast and fundraise under the #GamerGate banner since he didn't want to alienate anyone. I can see the "for" and "against" arguments for doing that, however I'm inclined to agree that any money going toward helping sick kids is worth it no matter who is contributing. Keeping a neutral ground in the philanthropic scope of things seems to be a good idea; I think weaponizing charity is a really shitty thing to do so there's a fine line between donating because you care and donating because you're trying to show-up "the enemy". That kid who needs a heart transplant surely doesn't give two fucks about Anita Sarkesian. He just wants to, you know, not die.

We really have no relevance in any of this. Their only proof (which is really nothing than just a guess) is some forum post that was from a year or two ago, and that post can't really do much.

Clearly these idiots do not know who Steven Hawking is. The sheer power of his mind probably would reduce these ablests to goo.
