Love him or hate him, Robert Crumb will leave a lasting impact and legacy on comics. He's arguably the reason that the artwork you're talking about exists in such abundance.

Robert Crumb just won an award that he didn't bother turning up to collect and woke comic twitter are throwing shade at him because his work is "fetishistic".

Obviously Perez is in a quandary here because fetishistic describes both his comic output and his entire personality in a nutshell but he still wants to join in with the boot party. Therefore according to him the gay furry porn he whacks off to is better art than Crumb's or something.

Man, the whole rant about Robert Crumb being less transcendent than some random porn artist really shows what's wrong with Matt's creative mentality. He thinks he's some kind of avant-garde shock jock for simply being kind of a dickbag and knowing that there is a lot of weird porn on the internet. It's clear from the presentation that The Pervert was intended to first surprise you with its depravity and then with its depth, but it fails at the first because cartoony furry porn doesn't even register as a transgressive concept in 2018, and fails at the second because his personality is as deep as a fast food sauce packet.

The internet gives us infinite access to depraved porn, weird art comics, angry leftist ideologues, and more passable trannies. Try harder at something, at least.
