For most normal, rational, thinking people, this is very true. Everyone knows Twitter is a public platform and the whole point of having a public Twitter feed is to post publicly to the general public in a public fashion. It's just common sense: If you don't want people seeing or commenting on something, then don't post it publicly, right? WRONG!

This is 2018! And while everything said above is true, there is a new moral outrage called tweet-stalking where someone follows you on this public platform, but just in a creepy way. It is absolutely harassment! And sure, it might not seem that bad since you are not woke enough, but it is the literal equivalent to being anally raped by Hitler. Things like dead naming, misgendering and improper pronouns are bad, but this is the real deal.

It's surprising to see someone like Brianna Wu pull something like this. She seemed so progressive.

While in all honesty it doesn't look like Brianna Wu did anything wrong here, and there was no actual harassment to speak of, we owe it to jaythenerdkid, and by extension all marginalized people everywhere, to listen and believe!

What’s interesting is that if a male-presenting person did this, it would be all over Jezebel and Bustle right now. Brianna would be commenting on the nuanced threats posed to this poor Jay person. But because it’s Brianna? The posts aren’t gaining steam at all. Almost as if there’s a complete double standard among armchair Justice warriors.

This Jay person might not have flipped out if Brianna hadn’t been the narcissistic asshole she always is. A simple “I’m so sorry I made you feel this way. It wasn’t my intent, but I see that I’ve hurt you and I’m sorry.” would have probably made this go away.

Brianna is incapable of offering a sincere apology to anyone, so this sort of thing is just going to keep happening.
