Nolan is simultaneously the glue that holds the podcast together and the worst part about it. Without him, the podcast wouldnt exist, but man would it be nice to have an episode without him.

The fact he's friends with Ben doesnt surprise me. Nolan helped make furry porn is his early career.
 
I thoughts Ben was respectful enough on the Podcast. He didn't talk much and the only weird and cringe thing he said was that he didn't hate black people because he likes blues and Jazz.

Watched your vid and read your dms. Correct if I'm wrong you mentioned the way Ben draws breasts? The size isn't too much of problem the problem is the placement. Ben places the breasts too high in his kill la kill drawing. I'm not sure if he still does it but that was the issue. I also agree he has a very childish outlook on the world. He doesn't understand why people might have a problem with nudity or sex.

Read this Wednesday and quickly scanned over the images again this morning- A lot of what I was going to say was repeated by everyone else. Maybe my memory sucks and/or I have terrible reading comprehension but I was wondering how bringing up you questioning your sexuality strengthened your point.
(A little off topic but @Odie Esty if a expy of Spyro or sly cooper is in your battle manga then count me the fuck in)

Now that I'm looking at the art in full screen, he doesn't clean up his line work. Like no, you can't see the sketch layer or anything but looking at the first art piece (just cause that one has the most issues) oc's v-line/thong (?) goes off the hip and even some of the lines defining the hip don't connect. There is also a lot of little issues with the color (I can see a little white pixel above the character's bangs and some other places in the hair even when I was zoomed out). Also the shading is incredibly messy- like I don't even have to zoom in to see the really bad scribbled in shading on the belly button.
The other two pictures in this post are much cleaner (I mean they aren't flawless since the line weight is still a little weird when you look at where the thigh and calf connect in the second picutre and the bikini top and bottom in the commission image could use some work) but the first art was a birthday gift for someone.

I'm guessing the b-day gift was shit out the night before and it really shows. (The oc's owner, BigDeadAlive, hasn't been on DA for five days judging based on what the activity tab says but if I were him, I would be a little disappointed by the lack of effort.)

Edit: Looked at all the birthday gifts BigDead had @ at him on Twitter and even the more amateur ones had a little more effort/substance in the pictures including the character, Socket. If it's not too off topic and would be useful points of comparison, I could embed a couple pics later today?

basically my core point was you can be grossed out by someone sexually without judging them personally. Ben largely believes people dislike his overly sexual content because they themselves are repressed and I was trying to show that people can just be weirded out by someone's body or sexuality without directly judging them, to show that the two aren't one in the same. Also when you reveal embarrassing stuff about yourself people are more willing to do so in turn. I probably would have edited it out but the caveat of releasing the DMs was I'd do so unedited, which is why it drags in places. I really wasn't that concerned about what people thought of it because the fact I've got a Kiwi Farms account already meats I'm a faggot.

Ahhh I see. I wasn’t that bothered by the personal antidote but I understand the point you were getting at now. I don’t mind slight power leveling when it contributes to a conversation.
But yeah I did notice how Ben assumes that people not liking his sexual art is their own internal problem instead of him being at fault- I would have brought it up but I saw other people had beaten me to the punch and I didn’t want to be a broken record.

I have little context for the story outside of the quick research I did but from what I gathered it wasn’t really a porn story- it was just a silly story about this sisters trying to find out the meanings to horse phrases with some adult humor (?)
I almost want to say that Ben just picked that out cause it’s a “childern” artist and writer doing naughty things and didn’t actually read the book but I don’t want to make that call just yet.
 
Tbh he kinda seems like the kind of ‘good fundie raised boy’ that looses his shit when he sees bare shoulders or legs on a woman, he has admitted to being sexually repressed his entire early life to the point where he’d get off on cartoon women wearing slightly less clothes in an episode, so him mistaking comedic nudity involving ladies for actual porn is frankly not too surprising

Ben, for the love of god please stop drawing that weird vein popping out of the dick. I get it’s stylization/exaggeration but I can’t understand why you’d choose to exaggerate that tiny part when there are more “appealing” parts of a dick to exaggerate

But I guess a positive thing about the art- the lines connect and the shading isn’t as messy as the Socket picture. It looks like he put in a lot more time and effort for this pic...I’m assuming cause he was really “invested” in this drawing
