DNC sues Russian government, Trump campaign, WikiLeaks alleging conspiracy to help Trump win election

The Democratic National Committee is suing the Russian government, the Trump campaign and WikiLeaks, alleging that the three entities conspired to help Trump win the election.

The Washington Post reported Friday that the DNC filed the multi-million dollar lawsuit in federal district court in Manhattan.

“During the 2016 presidential campaign, Russia launched an all-out assault on our democracy, and it found a willing and active partner in Donald Trump’s campaign,” DNC chair Tom Perez said in a statement.

“This constituted an act of unprecedented treachery: the campaign of a nominee for President of the United States in league with a hostile foreign power to bolster its own chance to win the presidency."

The DNC is seeking millions of dollars in damages related to the hacked DNC emails that WikiLeaks published during the campaign, according to the Post.

The lawsuit alleges that hacking and publishing the DNC emails was part of a larger conspiracy to damage Clinton’s campaign and help Trump win the election.

The suit names as defendants several Trump campaign aides who met with Russian nationals during the campaign, including campaign chair Paul Manafort and Trump campaign deputy Rick Gates, both of whom have since been charged in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian meddling.

The DNC lawsuit also names Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., son-in-law and White House adviser Jared Kushner and on-and-off Trump confidante Roger Stone.

The suit comes months after Mueller indicted 13 Russian nationals and three Russian groups in his investigation on charges related to interference in the election.

The GOP-led House Intelligence Committee, one of several congressional committees also investigating possible collusion, shut down its investigation earlier this year, asserting that they found no evidence of collusion. Democrats on the committee blasted the panel’s decision to end the probe.

Trump himself has repeatedly dismissed the investigation into Russian meddling as a “hoax” and “witch hunt,” and has maintained that there was “no collusion” between his campaign and Russia.

I honestly don't understand why they haven't gone back to the drawing board and started figuring out how to get the votes already. Even if they had a case, which they probably don't.

Politics are cyclical, yesterday it was the Dems turn, now it's the Repulican's turn at the wheel and so on, so no, no final nail will happen to either.
 
lmao they got caught rigging a primary and think they're on moral high ground. This would be like Tom Brady suing the ref who noticed his balls were deflated.

You really have to understand how Obama messed up their entire thought processes about electioneering.

To them, Obama getting elected meant the Republicans were no longer a threat, white and middle class america had rode into obsolescence at last, the bigots and racists and deplorables had died off and now were just a few old men and a few toothless hicks flying confederate flags from trucks, sure they were loud and wouldn't just go totally away, but they no longer had the numbers to be a serious threat. If they DID they would have out-voted putting a darkie in the Oval Office.

So, since they no longer matter, we don't have to cater to them, at ALL, we can focus on those progressive issues that give us warm fuzizes like racial equality and open borders and more LGBTQWTF rights and, oh, you'll have to excuse me if I have to sit down for this, a WOMAN PRESIDENT AT LAST!!!!

The movers and shakers of the DNC still think there was this great fundamental demographic change in the public that made a Republican President impossible, not just unlikely, flat-out impossible. They felt that even with 100% turnout, the R's would still fall short, otherwise, again, how did their Anti-Christ, a Democratic Black Man, win? See, they can't stop us! We are invincible!

And that is why they've spent the last 2 years melting down, blaming the Russians, blaming the racists, blaming the GamerGaters, blaming "hate speech" online.... blaming everything they've blamed.


They don't think they lost, they honestly think they were undermined.
 
Why would anybody still think, that Trump and Putin are such big best buddys, if the Syria conflict tells us something otherwise?

They are obviously so mentally unstable, that they haven't come up with a plan B, which is actually putting up a program for the people.

I told you they were going to go fucking insane. I didn't think they were going to go Turbo-Nuclear Hail Mary Pass insane, but I knew we were in for one wild-ass ride the second I saw that formal request sent off to Congress on the 18th. I'll be back later, I need to go dig into this psychotic bullshit and see what they're even trying to claim, but based on what I'm already seeing, this isn't going anywhere other than a judge's trashcan.

How are they going to prove a scrap of this, anyways? They had the opportunity to hand their "hacked" servers over to the FBI, but chose not to, and in their blind panic to cover Hillary's ass they've probably long-since wiped the servers.

I'm starting to feel like the DNC no longer wants a democratic republic system of government and is a few steps away from openly advocating one party rule, as long as it's their party ruling.
 
I can’t tell if this is the DNC throwing yet another temper tantrum or if they’re trying to draw attention away from Andrew McCabe’s impending indictment.

No Hillary, this isn't going to make you president. You can't sue for the presidency.

This is just awful. I know the plaintiff is the DNC, an organization, but for Christ's sake it can't be more obvious who's at the wheel here.

All this does is remind me of a George Carlin bit,
"YOU LOST HILLARY! YOU LOST, YOU'RE A LOSER HILLARY!"
