I am expecting criticism from your kind in the future. But I'm going to follow my heart and keep loving the Wogglebug and dedicate most of my life to a career about making him famous. Because he SHOULD be. He was MEANT to be from the beginning. The time has come for ME to make right what went wrong.

I admire your determination but you are going about it the wrong way. I have reviewed your work and would plead with you to hone your craft a bit more before releasing anymore books/movies as to be honest they are subpar at best thus you leave yourself open the massive criticism. The Wogglebug was a minor character in the Oz series that frankly seems a tad dated in todays world. Yes I am aware L. Frank Baum originally had plans for him but it simply was not meant to be.

I think my biggest criticism towards your work is your fascination with the Wogglebug itself. People are going to find it hard to think your work nothing but fanfiction when you say stuff like "Because I love him so much and no one else but me could have thought of the concepts I've thought of around him. No one else holds this vision.". You speak of him as if he were a real person and it comes off a tad on the creepy side.

If you are serious about your character get better skills first and tone down the "Wogglebug Sexy Talk".
 
What are "true colors" and why does only the Wogglebug have access to them?

Besides the blatant rip off and bastardization of one of my all time fav children's book characters, what bothers me most is that it looks like toad is peeping down the girls shirt.

Indeed. The author makes a clear distinction between Oz and her work. The last few chapters of the novel glorify Wizard Trolls doing the usual things such creatures do. The implications could not be clearer.
 
It's way back in the thread, but I'm sure it was established that it's very likely WBL's father (stepfather?) abused her when she was young.

If this is the case, it's easier to understand why some of the Wogglebug's interaction with Terri Sue comes off as so unsettling...

What I meant was plenty of characters are simple to draw and cute as part of their appeal.

This is pretty much the only way to make something as horrifying as a cockroach suitable for kids. Just saying.
