V3nom: Originally designed by teebsly. Obvious rip-off of Fame Monster-era Lady Gaga, so only about 10 years behind the curve.

I think that's pretty much every single character PK has ever focused on for any length of time at all, with the possible exception of Biff, Lily the Mary-Sue Cat, and characters like Alice and Jacklyn who are basically just Generic Furries #04 and #11 respectively. wow, and people give her money for this?

She's already got a Peridot ripoff in Neon (she once drew awful human porn of Neon and Lily where it was really obvious and human!Lily was clearly modeled off of Jasper), but this is PK we're talking about. If anyone's going to have a Peridot ripoff fuck another Peridot ripoff, it's her.
 
Eh, the resemblance to Peridot doesn't strike me enough. When I think of that character, I just think of her dumb triangle head and her greenness--not lady gaga goat and spider. Maybe it's the personality that strikes you guys more, since I don't really remember anything else about Peridot. Maybe that counts as a rip-off? I'm not sure. I think it would have to match the personality to a close T.
When you try to throw up 100 different designs for one franchise, it's hard to stay completely original and not have any influence from other media. THAT being said, the ponies and the pokemon exports are definitely rip-offs. And she definitely likes other people's characters more than her own. Not surprising at all, because she's never starting gaining infamy through anything other than her fanart.

I just want to let you all know that Exty designed Orobas and Amdusias (although the latter did go through a lot of design changes).

This saddens me a bit. I like the art style and anatomy design. Orobas' blank wide eyes already giving off the impression that she's seen too much shit (as she's a seer and all). Amdusias was going to have wild locks, until PK thinned them down and morphed her into Rarity. Not sure why PK had to take off the donkey ears, either. Seems like she just really couldn't get MLP out of her system.

Do you have a link to the original post? I'd like to see the purple commentary.

i know pk was trying to keep the theme of amdusias being a musician since that's how solomons key went. but the final end results are just so.. bad

I actually really like the sketches under exty's concept. They've got the wide seer eyes and hair, but would translate a little better onto something that screams "musician." They're a little bit seahorse, a little bit qilin...it's a neat design.

Ammy's design history makes me sad. She started out looking nice but PK dumped most of that to she can turn her into Rarity.
