Someone already answered this question, but I want to take a stab at it myself.

They identify with his core traits, he sits at a computer all day, plays games, eats whatever he wants, has an attractive wife, and somehow has a patent on being the ultimate "nice guy" status amongst other online media personalities. They all want these things in some way or another. The best part for this "good guy" boogie is that he gets paid to be this persona. He's the ultimate neck beard that kids and young adults aspire to be.

The children I've seen today mostly are heavyset and also enjoy video games. There are a few here and there that break the mould, but otherwise, they want to believe that people shouldn't be judged for how they look or what their interests are in. They should be successful because they are such 'nice' people :/

I admit, I haven't watched Boogie's stuff that much, but I got somewhat interested when this recent drama shit has been happening. But I've only mostly taken look at his fanbase.
Either way it leaves me wondering, what actually was his call to fame? Can't be general fence sitting, because why being neutral on anything would bring him any views? And seemingly his way of dealing with critique is to first make a video where he discusses comments on video X in video Y and if the like-dislike ratio still isn't 99.99%-0.01% he makes video Z where he goes "Hoy gjaoys it's me Francis annd ay hav somethin I want off my chest, I'M FOJKING DISHGJUSTED BY A THING BOOGIE DID" and by then he is like "crisis averted", because for some reason people flock to upvote a "Francis" video for "showcasing" how stupid etc. the side that opposes him is. Even better is back nearing release of Switch (or Zelda) he made a video "Will it be good or bad?" where he basically ends on "can be either, lol" and yet people feed him the views.
So in the end, what the hell gave him a fanbase? He looks like stereotypical extremely fat neckbeard and speaks like one as his Francis "persona". Or is it because he was willing to swallow his dignity and pride by acting like one on youtube?

Making videos at the right time. Youtube was an easy market in the mid-200x's; it wasn't as corporate infested as it was back in the day. Boogie also panders to his audience of gamers and casuals quite well. He could of been a multi-millionaire if he wasn't morbidly obese at the start of his youtube career. Being that morbidly obese means you miss out a lot on networking and paid events, which pay quite handsomely.

Didn't boogie make a whole bunch of twists braging about LOSING SO MUCH WEIGHT and being totally within the surgery limits?

Just weighed in... under 499 pounds for the first time in 15 years.

This puts me within the safe range for the surgery as Well! I feel so much safer!

Seems I have hit my first plateau at 498. This is historically where I stay stuck on crash diets. Surgery will help me push through. :)

But if he lost 3 pounds the other day then how are you on 498... Is boogie gaining weight back?

Someone even posted a thing saying that boogie loses +3500 kcal per day just by existing:

Also, someone on boogie's subreddit went through the same thing and calls boogie a liar, doctor don't simply delay surgeries like that, it has to be the patients fault

I'm someone who closely follows boogie and knows just what doctors are capable of. Dr's don't delay a bariatric surgery, that comes from the patient. Boogie probably ate off his diet and is making an excuse for why he can't have the surgery. You're right boogie if you don't follow the diet they won't operate on you, you know what they did to me though cause I gorged on taco bell the night before my gastric bypass? They said fuck this kid cannot control his eating disorder for one day not to eat before a life altering surgery but he needs the surgery to save his life, so they changed what surgery they were doing and went with the gastric sleeve cause my intestines were clogged with taco bell and they had so much trouble operating on me but that was better than no surgery. So basically boogie, stop lying to your fans there are people who watch you because we suffer from similar things and it hurts to see you lie. I I know it hurts to say you've failed before you've even started, but that's just how things are I'd rather you be honest than try to hide your shame.

You know what i think? Boogie's birthday was yesterday. I think he got a little too happy during the party and broke his diet by eating something solid or drinking mtn dew again...

Boogie's weight loss is the same as Ahuviya's, the only difference is road signs don't go into the 500's.
