Perhaps offered from the various other bits of that entire half of the world that is suffering from the violation of longstanding maritime standards.
Better would be payment, of course. The US might be the capable of raking away 90% of the Iranian piracy threat, but there is no value in doing that unless either we intend to maintain indefinite occupation of the area or the nations that are far more reliant on that passage than we are accept that they need to have a navy and handle the maintenance task.
For now, waiting has the benefit of letting Iran burn more and more bridges. The US may have sprung the long-loaded trap that would have inevitably gone off eventually, but its not worth clearing it out until those suffering most from it acknowledge, accept, and take permanent responsibility for making sure it can't happen again.
I personally hope its also waiting to see if Iran cuts some undersea cables to really push the point.

- Trump says it would take a week and a half to dig out the HEU at Fordow I assume, talks about granite
- There are 9 cameras are on the Iranian nuclear site, Fordow I assume, watching the site 24 hours a day
- Trump says he would be okay with monitoring the sites, thats a big difference from retrieving it. He did state he would like to get the HEU
- Trump says some IRGC task force guy tried to get into the 'chute' which I assume would be the ventilation shaft, but he didn't elaborate on this point
At this point none of the objectives will happen without regime change.
Edit: Trump said "there is 9 cameras on those 3 sites" no specifics on which sites, I assume Fordow, Natanz and another, Pickax Mountain perhaps.
