This is one of the most frustrating things about the "stalemate," there is leverage that president Trump could be using, but he is either ignorant of that, distracted by the Jew war he got suckered into, or distracted by whatever other shiny object his handlers dangle in front of him (250th, WH ballroom, fights with the House Republicans that comprise his narrow majority, etc).

He he really needs a personality like DeSantis in-house who is able to pick apart the blocking factors, identify the levers and has the willingness to get them pulled, no matter how loud the other side shrieks.

when did DeSantis do any of that?
Redistricting got done but that really wasn't like the GOPs were fighting him about it, hell iirc a redistricting or two back he went with a BLUER map against the legislature's wishes
He's definitely gotten things that were popular through but I don't recall a lot of him "picking apart blocking factors" or any of that resume-padding blobtalk
