I understand where you are coming from Tetsuya. But I feel you are ignoring history and context surrounding what happened with the feud between Jim and Carl. Jim never said that you shouldn't inspire to be more than you currently are or that a YouTuber couldn't be more a YouTuber. Jim was specifically saying that Carl was very delusional in what he thought he could accomplish, that he was doing it for the wrong reasons, that what he was doing was counter productive and that it was all going to backfire horribly on him.

And while Carl has built something nice for himself, he was clearly expecting something a lot more out of life. And let us not ignore the fact that Carl literally ran for political office seven years ago and was throughly humiliated in the way that Jim said he would be. To be fair, I did make references to the Carl stream where he embarrassed himself. If I'm remembering it wrong and the advice was just for Carl then fair point and I'll walk that one back and admit I was wrong, but I always remembered it as Jim saying that to Dankula as well, so it came off as a more generalized thing, and Dankula was really going through a shit time, and now Jim makes fun of britain (and rightly so) for things that Carl and Dankula at least tried to fight back against.

As for Carl, despite the hiccups, I think he's steered the ship in the right direction. Lotus Eaters is doing well, and so are his channels, and Carl's scoring interviews with a popular politician, etc, while Jim spergs about shit even his fans are bored of.

That said, it's only part of what I was saying. My main point was that I had more respect for Carl as a result of the things I mentioned and I had really soured on Jim. I was also highlighting Jim's contradictory behaviour around the juxtaposition of his christianity and then celebrating dead kids in Iran, etc, while also crying for Kirk.
