For using the last half decade to prevent "the downfall of democracy," Democrats sure do seem to hate it.

Democrats have decided that they represent smart people. As a result, we don't need elections, we don't need to give "Nazis" and "fascists" the chance to commit a genocide against Gazans or immigrants.

They would love to end democracy, have an authoritarian leader installed, and call it good. The "no kings" thing was just a projection.

Theres this back and forth because libs are rightfully saying it looks stupid and tacky, while conservatives are noting the horrendous algae problem. No one and I mean no one is talking about a practical solution of having a dispersed waterflow system which would both disperse the algae and therefore keep the water reasonably blue (ie egineer the pool to function like a swimming pool)

I feel this is a pattern: Trump will announce something stupid like "everyone needs to wear clown pants, or else your a commie fake news palestiner". Libshits will be like "ew no. Why can't you let people just be in rags", the convershart will talk about how patriotic it is to wear pants and the conversation will go on and on without anyone proposing that you can in fact make two pairs of pants for every one clown overall.

Its a fucking brainrot nightmare

I agree that Democrats bungled their 2016 primary and have gone full retard since, but the Congressional Progressive Caucus has seen steady gains since 2010. Occupy Wall Street helped their caucus a lot and Obama gave them a lot of help. Trump energized them for sure, but I don't agree that he is the main reason for their contemporary prominence. Like them or not, their political rise predates Trump. They were almost 40% of the House in 2010.
