That's essentially what all this digging going on right now is over.

I'm of the opinion that he didn't buy any equipment or (as mac and cheese was pointing out) the other coffee label that he may have partnered with had their supplier requiring more output to meet their demand, so instead of going in halfsies or setting up a mutually beneficial business arrangement, Hambeast, in a rush to come off as a legitimate businessman, leveraged his personal finances, took on all the risk all while (presumably) trying to appease the Ready Player One (or whatever the other brand is called) guy (who was likely laughing his ass off at having Hambeast do that.) Of course the other brand went tits up fairly recently, so, lol Hambeast. Another savvy business decision from Wisconsin's favorite retard.

Honestly while the latter scenario is much funnier, I think the reality is a lot more mundane and Hambeast was just making another stupid business decision to buy up way more stock than he was actually selling.

Sorry, my bloviating and Oz references buried the lede a bit -- I'm mocking his "unwillingness" to do this simple kind of "blowout exposé" by asking rhetorically why he hasn't just gone and done it. If he's really doing what he claims, proving it should be trivial (and good for business besides). The people nagging him about it know he's lying and they're setting themselves up (intentionally or not) for a super-easy L ... if he's not lying ... flopping it out there like an irresistible piece of bait. Since he is lying, he can't claim the easy W and subsequent victory lap. This has to be driving Jeremy fucking insane. The longer that accusation lingers without being answered in the easiest, simplest, most effective way, the louder the accusation gets and the easier it becomes for people to believe it. After all, it's a nasty lie, so easily disproved (if it's really a lie), and a good move to do so, and no downside to disproving it. So why not do it, unless it's not a lie after all.

I think back at the Obama birth certificate fiasco and how fucking perfectly timed its release was (IIRC Obama's campaign team dropped it mid-speech during Trump's 2012 presidential campaign kickoff rally, or some other similarly fantastic moment), and how effective it was at just torpedoing the Trump 2012 campaign. I wonder what might have happened if Obama had just ignored that particular accusation entirely instead of finally disproving it. There are still people today who think Obama's not an American citizen even with the cert, and the idea certainly had some traction back then too. Would "you're just being racist!" have been enough of a shield against that accusation to keep Trump off the ballot? Choosing not to take the obvious W in proving citizenship was judged too great a risk. I think that's really funny. Trump actually successfully convinced a sharp, ultimately successful campaign team to actually publish their candidate's birth certificate just to shut up a then-long shot almost-joke candidate. Even then the dude was an epic troll.

Mitt Romney was a dogshit candidate too (Trump was, even back then, far better), and I get the feeling the Obama campaign guys figured out early on that they needed to get Trump out of the picture ASAP and set Romney up for the Republican nomination. I don't believe Obama could have "out-charmed" Trump in a debate and I think if Trump hadn't hitched his wagon to the birth certificate thing so firmly in 2012 and had actually emerged from the primaries as Obama's main challenger, it would have been a very different election. Obama's team knew it. The press hadn't been prepping the left to hate Trump so viscerally at that point, at least not that much (they started programming and installing the first releases of the TDS NPC firmware when Obama won his second term), and there was IMHO a fairly strong chance he could have pummeled Obama pretty soundly if he'd been the Team Red pick.

Not all of us are badass fighters, but the only time someone took a swing at me (and luckily missed) while drinking, my friend had them in a chokehold on the floor before I could react.

I'm not really up to date with whisper.cpp, but last time I checked (about 1-2 years ago) faster-whisper was several times (I think something like 3x) faster even just on CPU.

Might be worth to make your own comparison, see if that speed difference still holds up. With the amount of data you're crunching through even the smallest speedup is gonna make a huge difference, let alone sky's the limit with a decent GPU.
