In the Fishtank community, certain phrases uttered at various points throughout the show's history have had a habit of becoming prophetic of events inside the show and outside the show with the greater community. Sayings like "it's funny till it ain't funny no more" or "fuck around, find out" for example (which apply to this case too). A great example is a Fishtank ad that parodied those old Education Connection commercials. Two screencaps stand out:

In life, we learn lessons. If you look for it, you can learn a lesson every day. Sometimes you gotta learn the hard way. I enjoyed Mei's posting during the season, I didn't find her blatant thirst as annoying as others did, but she flew too close to the sun and paid the price. Sometimes all it takes is a Japan sperg ginger Muslim to make a girl lose all reason.

This thread is eye opening. I lurked for a long while before joining and I am always surprised to see old users get outed for poor opsec, Even worse when it turns out they are some kind of extremely sexual deviants. I guess no one is safe.

For the uninitiated, Mei over here is a big fan of an American muslim cowboy/fishtank contestant Bashir. The name she used for the account on the fishtank site would link her to a pixiv account which was filled with her prior nsfw commissions and loli hentai of a girls frontline character. Here she admits the "split-peaches" persona is hers.

Well, @Meiwaku , I'm disappointed. I can understand the idea that perhaps some path in your life eventually lead you to this way, and maybe you can explain yourself.
