Can someone explain where this new-ish "beauty standard" is coming from? It's called fashion. 10 years ago women wouldnt put on little "wings" with their eyeliner, now they do. And in your picture they're even large black triangles. First they used rouge to look more warm, now they use rubbed out lipstick. What bothers me more is how they accentuate eyebags by drawing a line under their bottom eyelid. I think the idea is that eyes look bigger if you "move" the edge of your eye past your eyelid, but in practice it just makes your lower eyelid look swollen.
It doesnt help that modern photography is done by amateurs 99% of the time with the spread of cameraphones. They want to make pictures look warm and lively, so they crank up the color saturation. Modern displays and cameras are set like that by default now, to show off how colory their display is. So everyone is used to it. Professionals that set their cameras to not make everyone look flushed are barely around.

On one hand, you no longer have to spend your days taking it up the shitter for a few guaranteed thousands per scene; on the other, if your looks aren't enough to attract a small army of simps who throw money at your mere existence, you have to spend hours every day trying to be skilled/interesting/funny/charismatic for a chance at maybe earning the same.
