Yeah well when they make another issue of it, we'll see how DED it really is. Also if it's not that big of an issue why even bring it up in the first place? You're showing a picture with no source to back it up, which at this point has become predictable and extremely stupid. I'm no fan of the guy, but the stupid gossip, the sad attempts at the gotchas and the whole giving yourself false hope of something bad happening to people like him has gotten old a long time ago. Posting this was completely random, and it had nothing to do with comicsgate, which tells me you did this to shit post.... well you did it in the wrong place because like Eric July, we don't agree with the Rippaverse hate or conspiracy theory gossip here...in fact most of us consider it boring and overdone, as well as overblown to look worse than it actually is. If that's not clear by now, then I don't know what to tell you.A wordmark trademark protects the literal text of a brand name, slogan, or logo without restricting it to a specific font, size, color, or design. It offers the broadest protection by covering the words themselves, allowing the visual style to change over time without losing legal coverage.
This isn’t just a sticker, Trademark Class 16 is the classification for both stickers and comic books, as it covers paper goods, printed matter, and stationery.
It’s DED because the status of it is quite literally “dead”.
It’s just information, don’t be so defensive, especially when you’re wrong.
if a wordmark trademark is lost, abandoned, or cancelled, it often means that someone else can use and potentially register that mark.
That being said, this was an obvious procedural failure, it’s not necessarily loss of rights, but until this is resolved, there are no USPTO protections.
