Its so strange that no one is building houses, fixing toilets, maintaining power supplies. For Ace, who is formulating all her pharmaceuticals? Who is prescribing them? How does a hospital work in an anarcho-commuinst state?

There ARE leftist communes people can join, but they don't want people who only propose to talk theory. To my knowledge, every communist/socialist regime to ever have existed has rewarded those who can meaningfully contribute (whilst also arselicking) most and, at best, marginalised those who can't or won't.

Its super odd how most people who contribute meaningfully to society want to keep most of the benefits of their work while those with no intention to feel entitled to the fruits of others' labour. Quite literally in the case of the community garden. That diatribe to me, as someone who knows little about planned economies, suggests that she has literally no idea how they work.

Also, I'm not in a gun country. But can someone explain to. me what the point is of having a gun if its locked away and unloaded. How does that help when someone breaks down your door? very late eta: My job on the leftist commune is head of the committee for redistribution of resources. Its a very difficult job requiring much effort and skill so I'll need a big house, luxurious furnishings, and the best food etc to ensure I'm best able to fairly distribute the resources left after covering that for me and my mates.

Okay so she just found it... What like on the floor? If this were any other munchie, I wouldn't think twice, but she has a baby/toddler. I don't like the feeling I get, which is that she found it in a drawer or between some couch cushion where she had forgot about it. This is the reason why people are concerned about weed gummies in the first place, because they appeal to kids. I'm dumbfounded at the idea that any parent wouldn't at least know where their drugs are in relation to their children.

The moral of the story is not to be lazy, or expect anything out of anyone if you're not willing to lend a hand. And by the way, Ace, your communist overlords definitely know this story. Wow, what a miserable sack of shit. Someone does not understand the community aspect of a community garden. You work together to tend to the plants. There are absolutely tasks that someone could do even with a legitimate disability. Thinning out seedlings, picking the tomatoes, washing the veggies before they get eaten… If someone truly could not do any physical work, there are plenty of logistical problems that someone needs to solve. You could be the community garden accessibility consultant (which will be my job at the leftist commune) and propose plans for raised garden beds and vertical trellises that make it easier for disabled people to participate in the physical labor of gardening.

The most blatantly miserable part, to me at least, is how clearly she’s lacking any sort of community or support system beyond Spouse. I would happily share a few of my tomatoes with my friends, regardless of how much they contributed.

That’s something that’s true of most of the girls discussed here though. They don’t have any friends or support system beyond their parents and maybe a boyfriend. They get so obsessed with their bodies and their various ailments. They spend all their time at home on social media, and their life shrinks down to their house and phone. Humans are a social species, we were never meant to be so separated like we are now. Social media will never be a replacement for real human connection. I’ve seen this thought mentioned elsewhere on the site, but I think that most of the Cluster B insanity on social media is a result of the social media itself and how it rewards those behaviors in a way that real life does not. Yes it would probably help these girls if they got some real therapy too, but more importantly, they need to put their phones down for a bit, go get a hobby, and actually talk to other people. You can even do all of that at the same time, if you pick the right hobby! Go to the community garden and actually help grow the tomatoes.

Seed starting, growing, and problem shooting large gardens is a chore.

I'm working on a large garden now that I have been seed starting since January, planned since November so I'm a lil sensitive.

I think I'd snap if I spent months planning and tending to my tomato garden, then Ace and some homeless people came through like a tornado and ate all of my tomatoes. Not only that, they do nothing to benefit the garden.

So is she saying that the community garden should instead be a food pantry? Cuz they have those, Ace, go on and get in line at the soup kitchen.
