You just accurately described my childhood and I am nothing like that kid. I think the difference though was that my parents would never speak badly of each other around me and they went out of their way to make sure that I was well adjusted.
Not to mention the fact that to my mother's credit even though she got 100% custody of me in the divorce she sent me every summer to stay with my dad because they said a boy needs both his parents.
This is way worse this is a kid who grew up in a negative household or an apathetic one with nothing but the internet for guidance.

I think everyone should be at least a little bit scared of their parents growing up, that's why we revere them. 99 times out of 100 when my mom said she was going to give me a smack, deep down I kind of knew she wasn't going to do it but there was always that 1 time out of 100 that made me stop acting like a fool as soon as she started to get pissed, because that 1 time out of 100 she switched that cigarette from her right hand to her left and I knew my good day was over.

Okay, so without powerleveling too hard about my previous jobs, I want to bring some attention to what was happening here if nobody has done so yet.
Let's explain getting knocked unconscious a bit and what it is not.
Getting knocked unconscious, even being choked out is not simply being forced to sleep. Imagine your brain is a computer and consciousness to it is operating at normal levels. Getting knocked unconscious is a sudden interruption of processing due to external forces. Your brain did not slowly shut down for sleep, it still thinks it's awake. You are effectively fucking your brain up for every second you are unconscious. This is why in sports if you are hurtthey don't rush you to the hospital right away. They try and get you awake first. A big sign that Clav was in serious danger was his agonal breathing. When he passed out, that wasn't snoring. That was his airway being impeded by his throat trying to inhale his tongue. Snoring c9mes from the throat. That horking was coming from his mouth. If other guys weren't there to straighten his neck out. He could have died here.

With that being pointed out, Clav is on a cocktail of medications and drugs that are basically operating in sync with his daily tolerances and addictions. Getting knocked out with all of that in his system will very likely come back to haunt him later down the line. I have no doubt that his regular intake of mind effecting chemicals also contributed to his seizing.
Which I want to bring significant light to, you don't usually "just seize". He likely had a full blown seizure while he was unconscious and needs to go to a neurologist to see if it fucked him up.

Junkies that get into repeated violent altercations and get knocked out deteriorate faster because the substance abuse and the ongoing head trauma exacerbate one another.

I’m guessing that his parents are young Gen X. I’m a millennial so part of my childhood was spent outside and the other was being on the internet gaming and using shitty MySpace and Facebook (ah the simpler times) then drifting in to early smartphones. Generation Z has spent most of their lifetimes on the Internet and smartphones, which for the most part became their way of socializing (especially during Covid). His parents probably thought it was harmless for the most part, but weren’t actually monitoring what he was looking at. If they were more diligent they probably would’ve banned his ass or at least grounded him and made him touch grass.

I don’t believe his parents are terrible people, either. They think did what they could at the time (but that isn’t exactly true). He definitely should have faced harsher penalties for his retardations as a teen. Dude already has the ‘tism, so he needs extra care in decision making. You guys are so optimistic that Braden could be saved and honestly, this dude is giving me the always going to fail to be a member of society vibes. His main problem is that he gets something stubbornly stuck in his head, believes he is right, then acts on that alone. His moments of reflection are few and far between, and all it convinces him is that life sucks, he should keep doing this, oh well. He's the worst kind of autism where not only does he get stubbornly stuck on one way of thinking, he never changes it even when faced with consequences. He's had several moments where a saner man could change his lifestyle, but every time he talks to his parents he just... absorbs nothing. He only absorbs ideas and mentalities from those he looks up to or believes. He already decided this is how the world works, he is not changing his mind, he is on track according to his ideals.
