He won't be able to exist as he did before (internet culture has changed too much for that), but he will be able to exist. There are literally thousands of people who make a living drawing degenerate pornography online, and many of them were inspired by Shad; I'm sure if he buckles down and starts taking commissions he'll be able to live quite comfortably .... assuming he doesn't fuck everything up.

Rereading it now it was 1:30am and I could've phrased that better lmao. When I said 'exist' I think I meant more so as a creator "influencer" type with a following. I'm absolutely certain he could make a living off of his degen drawings via commissions. But I wonder if he'd ever resume any streams of any kind & shit like that.
Agree with the 'internet culture has changed too much' part, but there's always a chance he makes a big ordeal about "changing his ways" & never drawing loli-esque art again.
Idk if its just me but theres just something inherently child-like about his art style. I'll never look at his art & say"Wow! I'm certain this is an of age individual!!!"
 
My thing is, IDK if he can live on the infamy he had/has considering he's essentially a relic of a bygone era now who's relegated to drawing stuff which is chasing a bygone trend. Maybe he can survive similar to other artcows (like Jasonafex/Kabs) by charging ridiculous amounts for his artwork and getting a few depraved whales hurling money at him, but those people are also more likely to go to AI which can replicate the art without restriction or other people who imitated the style and will charge substantially less, they might go for the "prestige" of owning a 'true and honest' Shad... but I also think he's starting to get relegated to "old internet fame" that he'll soon become obscure.

The problem Shad has is that, while he has some talent, he relied on themes that catered to a repugnant fanbase. The constant pedo-pandering and edginess is what brought attention to his persona, but his art is competent at best. He plateaued quite early, seeing the latest examples of said art, it shows signs of stagnation and even regression. He lacks technical proficiency, all he draws is the same depraved shit over and over again, he has no range, it is not like he can pivot and create art that showcases deep knowledge of technique or mastery.

There is also his history of drug use, violent behavior and mental instability, there is a likelihood of recidivism and therefore becoming inactive and disappearing again. If not outright getting arrested again or prematurely dying like other lolcows have. He's already obscure by internet standard, not a lot of people care about him beyond someone posting "Shadman" as a pun. The joke being that his name is a catch-all term for "degenerate". A Hell of a legacy to be remembered by.

It's far too late for that. The name "Shadman" has been synonymous with "particularly degenerate lolicon" for over a decade at this point; There's nothing he can do to wash the stink off aside from starting over under a new handle and hoping nobody recognizes him.

The problem with shad is that he did the one thing any successful artist should never do, all he had to do to retain any amount of public support is not draw lolicon or depictions of real children (keemstars daughter, underage child actors).

His downfall began in Switzerland with the sexualization of his own mother and continues in the us. Hopefully CA convicts him but most likely they will not considering its been almost six years since his case began.

Its right on the edge of "maybe it could juuuuuust be hidden", you can see hinting of jawline down near the neck, so it might be there's just a lot of volume going on with the hair (highly likely for a caked up egirl to be drowning it in product or using a puffed out wig) - but the real factor here is its close enough to look wrong regardless of being technically right. I'm assuming this is painting from a photo reference, and if that is the case, its just a bad photo to use because of that ambiguity. You can still paint it, enjoy the practice, but that feeling of "this ain't right" shoulda hit and prevented it from going on the socials.

I could go on an egirl safari to know for sure, but I can't be arsed.

The face structure just isn't there; it looks like a neck with a wig placed on it.
The body looks like it is melting.
The ear looks like it was cut in half.

I am more surprised to hear this isn't AI.

Slenderman or not; they still have facial structures like a jaw bone you could see even at that angle. There is no jaw only neck; it doesn't make it look creepy just broken.

I didn't think his art could devolve more that it just looks like badly made AI.
 
This dude never bothered improving his skills, he just wanted to post stuff as soon as possible.
When you see a professional artist presenting a piece of art, you can tell that behind that art there are at least a couple of sketches done before. That is called preparation and practice before doing a full drawing. It's obvious that Shadman never practiced; the commissions and drawings he posts are his whole practice.
