It depends on what kind of denial is required.

The current threat is a mixture of conventional surface-to-surface weapons that require a dedicated launching platform (albeit mobile) which has a more distinct footprint and small one-way drones which can be effectively concealed during transport and launched while minimizing the exposure of the crew to counter fires.

If the threat of a team of 3 or 4 dudes that can calmly drive a civilian vehicle out to a terrain feature, set up, and launch a one-way drone then slip away is halting traffic through the strait, you might need a more persistent method of denying the terrain while freeing up aerial resources to strike deeper targets.

And for second I just think it would be an overly risky move to station a couple thousand troops to sit on the island as sitting ducks for Iran to start firing missiles and drones at.

the oil infrastructure was also on the no kill list. But in the game of good cop bad cop that the US and Israel are playing, sometimes the loose cannon goes a little squirrely and starts shooting stuff he's not supposed to.

No, the Shah didn't give the signal to launch the Iranian Counterrevolution yet, but that was always unlikely for today as I've said before (weeks 4-6, so starting next week, were likelier candidates in keeping with the timeline Trump gave originally). The more interesting thing is that Khamenei Jr. hasn't delivered a Nowruz message of his own to counter Pahlavi's. Well, technically he gave a ludicrously :optimistic: written statement on how the war's going which was read by a presenter on Iranian state TV, however again this wasn't a video or even audio recording of him, which is wild because his dad used to visibly deliver such statements consistently on past Nowruzes. Lends further credence to the theory that he's dead & his election was basically the Islamists attempting the El Cid trick in the modern era, or at best he's in a coma.


Speaking of which, some more details on those unconfirmed rumors about Khamenei Jr. succumbing to his injuries which started floating around last night. Tl;dr they finally had to pull the plug on him because this mountain nigger couldn't wake from his coma & his lungs were filling up with blood. Consume with a healthy amount of kosher salt until & unless further confirmations come in, of course.

Finally, IRIB (state TV) got hacked yet again today, the hackers proceeded to broadcast Noor Pahlavi's Farsi speech from the other day.
