Trying to comprehend the positioning of that one made me feel like I was drunkman this looks like dogshit. i know people were complimenting the black joy piece earlier but i felt that looked super juvenile and this piece looks even worse.
this drawing specifically reminds me of how last month a friend of mine was walking thru a childrens park and saw a couple of dudes cuddling/laying on top of each other. one was in a spandex scalie suit and they were smoking a cigar playing rave music. it reminds me so much of this piece its a bit uncanny, and makes me hate it all the more lmao

Its disapointing how many illustrations she is putting out that aren't the commission pieces she charged full price upfront for. It's okay to not churn out a commission piece immediately, but working on and posting personal art first is... I don't know, rude? Is that the right word?

She might still have a meltdown stored up. Hopefully this dissolves it, but overwhelming emotion in autistic people can hit like a truck so it's a mystery. I bet she'll crash out in a few days.

The sad thing is, the 'black pain black joy' one didn't look particularly good on its own technical merit (someone said it was just a wip, but at that point she was clearly committed to the pretty simplistic lines and any rendering was going to be doing the heavy lifting), it's just that literally anything that isn't a fat pronoun woman with saggy tits in way too little clothing is a breath of fresh air. She could render a cardboard box at this point and I'd be happy for the change of pace (she'd never do that, she's scared of perspective and it shows).
However, between the note fiasco and the fact that this latest black pride art didn't feature prominent thong ass and therefore didn't get literally glazed (ew) by her usual fanbase, you notice she seems to have already lost interest.

She has a weird habit of not posting her commissions at all. The bat-bunny thing that she used as an example for her current commissions was drawn sometime in mid 2025 but only got posted this year. I think she already shit out everyone's commissions in 2-3 days so that she can devote her attention to more OC slop and bean flicking.
I'm actually kind of eager to see what this new batch looks like, considering these were the last ones. Buying art from Autumn has to be more about supporting her than it is actually about the work she puts out, cause these look like dogshit.

My most unpopular artist opinion is that most hobby artists should never take commissions; it will destroy your love for your work and giving customers subpar product because you needed some money is going to ruin any hope of a "career". Autumn unfortunately put all of her skill points into fingerpainting, so her only avenue of making cash is drawing crap she clearly isn't happy with.

i can agree. i do think it's a net-positive to try and make art that's literally anything other than ass and tits, i think maybe it's just the lack of curiosity pup seems to display all the time. the black pain/joy piece just feels... i dunno. derivative? uninspired (other than the clear inspiration from sinners)?
to use sinners as an example, you can tell the people who made the movie did a lot of research into a lot of aspects of black culture (historical, lived experiences, cultural). pup doesn't go outside and doesn't read books and i can't really explain but it SHOWS in their art. every piece screams "i watched a movie or show and that's why i made this, not because i actually care enough to read more". maybe i'm just being super mean

Oh no, you're absolutely right. She's not passionate about much other than tits and ass and bikini tops and Hot Topic aesthetic (that one anime girl with a plaid miniskirt and a cross lives rent free in her head).
It's sad, because you can 110% see the enthusiasm in her very oldest work when she was a big Panty and Stocking fan and I think that's part of why we all like that old stuff the best, because it legit looked like something she was excited to draw. If she's gonna sperg about Black Culture I really wish she WOULD actually learn about it, it'd make for work that would actually be worth looking at.
She clearly likes mythology and stuff, would it kill her to spend some time learning about the orishas or something? It's a rich pantheon, it's from an actual African culture, she seems all in on voodoo shit and that's the bastard stepchild of this stuff. There's even some awesome photoshoots and shit out there already. I've seen these posted on tumblr even!
A classmate of mine spent her thesis doing amazing afrofuturism pieces drawing on this as inspo and it was badass.

The quality difference between the personal art vs. commissions also feels like it boils down to the fact that these OCs are dressed very plainly and may belong to people with worse or more bland+derivative design tastes than Autumn.
The snake tail rabbit seems like it's right up her design alley, however, and she could have tried to make it look cooler than it does/she did.

Autumn is following another cub/feral/incest/basically radqueer account. Looking through this account made me nauseous, and it seriously infuriated me to see how many of these users are on Bluesky. I can see why Autumn blocked that one user who stated they were against zoo/feral/pedo/cub/loli/shota content, because then she can't be mutuals with people like this fuck. While the characters are blobs with dubious ages (they have jobs, some drink alcohol) Hachiware is voiced by an actual child. You can also tell because the kid's voice has gotten slightly deeper over time.
Whenever proship types like to argue that it's just fiction, the character is usually 100% divorced from any real child- Including being voiced by an adult, like say Bart Simpson.
Even if it's all creepy, I don't know. I somehow find it much MORE creepy when you're gooning to the squeaky voice of a real kid in a body that looks like this:
What about this is sexual to you if not the fact it is something close to a child? It isn't something like "Oh, I want to fuck Spongebob" in this case, yknow?
