Additionally, if he had legitimate concerns, he could have brought them up privately. Why would you give up a position of power where you could actually shift the needle on this issue?
You don't think that a man reporting directly to DNI might have had a few conversations about this with her, and and likely her immediate boss, the President, before choosing to resign?

I don't support the Iran stuff either but I can't help but nootice that a lot of the guys reeeeeeeeeing about it were massive neocon warhawks back in the Bush and Obama administrations and supported way more damaging and wasteful military campaigns than this.

Why are you guys hippies now? Because Orange Man bad?
I'm firmly behind the theory (other than the obvious "somebody is paying them") that it's because Trump's using the Department of War to kill the shit out of things instead of the Department of Defense fucking around and doing nothing but spend money

Something the right never understands is you save face and deal with this shit behind closed doors. But the ego and need for spotlight even if it's from the Bannon Bunch ruins this ability to actually effect change.

Will Chamberlain, a Meatball bitch, actually does a good job going through the letter pointing out the contradictions and the patronizing tone that 100% comes from someone like a wife:

Neocons are the ones who support it the most.

She co-wrote a single article in 2023 that attempted to audit the billions of dollars the Biden administration funneled into Ukraine and it was published by the Grayzone because the mainstream media obviously wasn't interested. That's not "working for" the Grayzone.

But, if you want, show me the Russian propaganda in the article: https://thegrayzone.com/2023/06/27/gravy-train-independent-audit-ukraine/
This is the only article she's ever publicly wrote and it happens to be for the greyzone. It's not like there's a history of her writing articles and one time it happened to be the Grayzone.

1980: “I’m sure X intelligence official isn’t compromised. His wife only wrote one article for Pravda!”

Ok, so you're not going to show me any Russian propaganda in the article or that she works for the Grayzone because both claims are, obviously, false.

The article isn't Russian propaganda.... it's an attempt to audit government money that had no oversight by design. Instead of writing pointless comments, go through it and show me otherwise.

i care but i know nothing of substance will ever come from it
I care more about the people funding him, I really thought this was going to be a way to take them down. But wexnar, bronfman, black and co are truly untouchable.

I'm about 6 pages behind, but did anyone see where Joe Kent resigned?

I understand the thread's knee jerk culture to be dismissive towards anyone that they view as being "disloyal" to daddy, but the man is a CWO, one of only a handful of individuals who are known to have been part of ISA, there might be a couple thousand people alive with Joe Kent's level of familiarity with the application of force to achieve US policy goals.

The man was active for the entirety of the GWOT and worked directly for the DNI. I would rate his opinion of the current state of affairs and root cause of them above pretty much anyone else in the government.

Yeah, Joe Kent is a great dude, I remember how pissed folks were when loomer attacked him last year. I don't agreed with him resigning, but I do completely understand why he would, and if you hand wave it as him being paid off, you are beneath contempt.

It's written in a Russian propaganda outlet, don't BS me and tell me this isn't propaganda. Jacobin and other leftist magazines would love to publish this.

Yes, and the usual suspects don't (or chose not to) understand the gravity of someone with his CV being willing to do so.
Complete retardation. His letter complains about his wife being killed in a Israel backed war (she died fighting ISIS) and then he praises Trump's efforts fighting ISIS. Incoherent.

Just to touch on Kent a little bit, and his history.

I think he's earned the right to be upset over more involvement in the middle east, the folks trying to take shots at him or claiming he's some sort of muslim apologist, or quitting for a paycheck are fucking scum. He poured his life, and lost the mother of his children in the middle east. I can understand why he has reservations about us getting stuck there again.
