I've been trying to find a silver lining to all this and I may have found it. All the rich fucks who got us into this mess and should've already been swinging from lampposts - those whose escape plans involved fuel for their private jets - won't be able to escape either. They'll be stuck here with the rest of us so at least there's that to look forward to.

R8 if late but ISIS has debonked the NYT hidden enriched uranium claim.
The past weekend retards at the NYT floated the theory that Drumpf may have to put boots on the ground because of a secret hidden base where all the HEU is being stored. Well, ISIS investigated and found concluded it was a drain runoff and water infrastructure
Wow, thanks ISIS.

But regardless, I'm still pretty sure that Trump already has intel on the true locations of enriched uranium and has a good chance of sending spec ops or some airborne ground force to go get it. Might already be happening.

Whatever happened to being able to maintain the war for ten years, guys? I thought Trump was begging for a ceasefire that wouldn't come until Israel no longer existed?

I will probably get downvoted for this hot take. Iranians are not actually retarded chimps that want to destroy the world for a long dead child fucker. They evidently escalate their response according to some sort of strategy and have not committed to all their options. Yet. Otherwise they would have yolo mined the Strait shut on day one. As it stands they merely threatened it and then put out a very small amount of mines into the waters. I am sure the Iranians would prefer for the bombing to stop, but they also want some assurance that this won't happen again half a year from now. Not an unreasonable demand if we're being honest.

Chevron and another oil company I forgot are expanding their operations in Venezuela and Guyana which will increase production substantially over the next year. Unless someone nukes the oil fields of the Arabian Peninsula we won't be seeing oil go over $100/barrel again even if we don't get control of Iran's oil.
Will all that be ready in three weeks? We have two.

All they've had to do since before this started is give us the assurance we won't need to do it again half a year from now and give up the highly enriched uranium and sign on to actually ensure they never aim for it again. Instead they cling onto the position that weapons grade uranium is their sovereign right.

:stress:SECURITY COUNCIL DOES SOMETHING :stress:

Bahrain's resolution has been adopted, after Russia and China abstained. Iran is ordered to halt all attacks on the GCC countries, per UN Security Council Resolution 2817

This was the stronger version, that named Iran specifically. Russia attempted to shop a weaker version earlier in the day that didn't name any countries and it was voted down.

My disappointment that this wasn't ISIS the terror group is immeasurable.

They already agreed to that. The US tore up that treaty.

"Under the JCPOA, Iran agreed to constrain its nuclear program by limiting fuel cycle activities that could lead to the production of weapons-grade uranium or plutonium. The JCPOA restricted the number and type of centrifuges in operation, the level of uranium enrichment, and the size of Iran's enriched uranium stockpile. Key facilities at Fordow, Natanz and Arak were repurposed for civilian uses such as medical and industrial research. Iran agreed to accept more intrusive IAEA monitoring measures of its fuel-cycle related activities. In exchange for complying with these restrictions, Iran received relief from nuclear-related sanctions imposed by the United Nations, the EU, and the United States, but many U.S. sanctions unrelated to the nuclear issue—targeting Iran's missile program, support for militant groups, and human rights record—remained in place, limiting the economic effect of sanctions relief. The agreement also set a timetable to lift the UN arms embargo, contingent on Iran's continued compliance with civilian nuclear commitments."

Zero. We have no clue where it all is. Not. A. Clue.

lmao holy shit, contrary to popular belief visible radiation is often blue not green, I wonder what the fuck just got released.

Israel just drops a big on in downtown and really gets this show on the road?
You're talking about Cherenkov radiation, which is when charged particles are moving faster than the speed of light in a dense medium like water (read: not open air).

We will ignore international law and demand the the United States and the Zionist Entity follow international law. This is the path to victory!

Also, ionizing radiation from a nuclear source doesn't flash, it glows persistently because a radioactive source is persistent. The glow is caused by free electrons and radioactive particles impacting with water vapor in the air, separating the oxygen and hydrogen.

This also happens when an electrical substation is hit too, because the massive release of trapped electrons fries the immediate atmospheric water. An electrical blast also glows blue, just like a nuclear emission, but the key difference is an electrical blast flashes while a nuclear emission persists for hours and days.

Now, this is very, VERY basic stuff that anyone with intro to physics will know, but you are arguing with a retard. So rest assured, he does not actually know this and just assumes "glow" means "nuclear".

While this accomplishes nothing in reality, it is super funny to see both Russia and China abstain out of fear of pissing off the rest of the Middle East.

Also Jesus, the two freighters blown up in Iraq’s waters. It’s like Iran is trying to remove every ounce of sympathy they spent trying to foster in that country.

an argument almost as bad faith as Iran's supposed "participation" in that agreement. fuck off

Actually wildly aggressive on Iran's part if they are hitting tankers before they even make it out of Iraqi waters, that's not trying to stop a ship running the straight at that point, that's just hitting tankers at random.

It may be more then a technicality if Iran keeps trying to blow up shipping in the gulf and sending drones in Qatar and Kuwait. At this point, its now legal for all UN members to dog pile on Iran if they do so.

Iran has quite literally been hung out to dry by the Russians and Chinese. The US and Israel were never going to stop, but this is the excuse neutral parties like the EU and the Arab States needed to join the beat down.
