It’s hard to remember everything in the world that happens, but here’s the thing.

As recently as Biden’s presidency, Israel would frequently threaten to punish us by aligning more closely with China. We’d also have to constantly warn them not to let China steal our tech.

Remember reading about how the US doesn’t want to dock at Haifa because Israel leased a terminal to China?

As much as Israel hates Iran, it’s still ridiculous to say that they dragged us into war, because for all of us to be in this position, Israel had to sacrifice their hedge position with Russia and China.

Edit from the future to spell out that last sentence: this was clearly a massive turn in foreign policy, but the Biden power vacuum in the Middle East was leaving everyone to deal with China, because China was filling the vacuum.

It’s as simple as this. Everyone in the region recognizes that China props up Iran. Everyone in the region is ready to turn on China once Iran is neutralized.

It definitely feels as though the order of things is shifting in the world to a newer, more uncertain state. To some, this is encouraging, to others terrifying. The old way of doing things is being slowly revealed as unable to be sustained, and pieces shift around the board or are knocked clean off altogether.

All the while, God is laughing.
