I think it's creepy for two reasons.

Thirdly, it seems to imply an aim to sabotage, or something. I know that women contact each other about abusive exes and that's perfect sane to me, but this is the same Nikki that opened the door to complicated relationships--nearly a month after leaving Tarl's house--by saying she thought a throuple could conceptually work. It doesn't seem like her intent in contacting Mel is to warn her, but to be somehow otherwise involved in Tarl's business with Mel, and that seems creepy as fuck. Healthy people just move on. Even if they have dead cats to commiserate over, they'll see the boundary problem and refrain from commenting.

Paul Ramsey is a prominent example who only recently admitted Tarl lied about his imminent demise, but he always prefaced before hand, " I hope it's not true. I hope he isn't on the lam" .
