They there are chances they’re going for three within a century. Ancient history doesn’t really matter. The father of the last guy got couped after he basically lost all control over Persia.

The last guy was briefly ran out of the country and had to be reinstated by the glowies and only then got his shit together, got couped anyway ten years later.

Unless the next king is the kind of guy that ends up being titled ‘the great’ he’s basically doomed to repeat the mistakes of the previous two. Either go too liberal and piss of the fundamentalist Muslims or be to conservative and lead his country to ruin in the name of Allah. Or be king nothinburger of what’s left, doing literally nothing aside from enriching himself and banging the maid.

If they go democratic there’s a chance they won’t immediately elect a socialist given the pro US sentiment.
 
I really hope this Iran shit wraps up soon. The midterms will be retarded enough without adding Israeli warmongering and regurgitated Iraq/Afghan anti and pro war propaganda with the date filed off and rewritten.

What makes me thing it won't go wrong is this PDF. It's a program written by the Shah in order to do the government transition once the Islamic Regime is removed. It's pretty pragmatic, and I don't think he will be deposed after this. In any case it won't be an absolute monarchy, but something more democratic.

Political propaganda is so slam dunk 1st amendment that any attempt by Pokemon Company to actually DO anything would amount to nothing.

They can't stop it, they don't say they want to stop it, they can only say they don't endorse it.

Conversely, no other company on the planet deserves to discover the US Government has endless funds to litigate anyone into the poorhouse if it wants to. Trump buck breaking Nintendo's legal department would be hilarious.
