I'm not the sort of person who insists on keeping a 100% clean diet and lectures others about the evils of processed foods, but I want everyone to seriously consider how long they could adopt Mem's lifestyle: it's the equivalent of 5 bacon cheeseburgers a day, served room temperature because you know damn well Mem doesn't tip. How long before you're sick of it? How long before it makes you nauseated and lethargic? Mem really is her own worst enemy

Polissa was the same: she wanted to live on "family land" and grow all her own food and renovate her own forever home... and when she got that chance she laid around all day and whined about how hard her life was because she genuinely seemed to expect that everything was going to magically come together without lifting a fucking finger.

Mem is "too disabled" to pick up household rubbish and put it in the bin and take that bin down to the kerb once a week, but somehow she's going to be able to put a fourteen hour day in pulling produce out of the dirt, wrestling calves, cleaning up cowshit, and staying ahead of whatever it is this month that's making its living breaking into the chicken coop... because you just know that when someone like Mem says that she wants to live on a farm, she means some cute, small organic hobby farm, and not the mechanised corporate monsters that feed endless empty calories to people like herself.

It always gets me that the people who are the most useless, bone idle layabouts are the ones who romanticise the endless, grinding, back breaking, self sufficient labour that is a farm or a station.
 
I have about half acre total and not all clearly is garden but it's work. My wife doesn't care to help and that's okay but, weeding is daily watering almost daily, care etc. it's hours a week.

There's no way she could manage it and even if she did. What will she get out of it? She won't eat fresh peppers,squash etc. We see her diet what she begs for.

I've had years where I wanted a garden and couldn't, now I have it I treasure it. Even when my back hurts and I'm not even half way to Mems weight.

Mem thinks she could laze about in a commune and be fed burger king.

Let's hope this thread keeps going and memcorp keeps taking Ls.

My pet theory is that ebeggars like mem and polissa romanticise a subsistence farm lifestyle because they resent the idea that society expects something from them before they get anything back.

Never mind that for Polly the expectation from society became “don’t waste the welfare money we give you on junk food” and for mem “maybe clean up after yourself before begging for professional cleaning services,” they see it as eugenics that they have to do things like tailor their ebegging in a way that is palatable to the audience. Besides, even if they did do that where does it end? They’ll be forced to have a job and be nice to people and pay taxes.

So they just say to themselves “fine. I’ll go live on family land in a trailer and grow veggies and bake bread,” and because society’s expectations of them have gotten so low they cannot imagine that a life of self reliance is orders of magnitude more taxing than attending a disability review every few years.

It’s a fantasy with all the seriousness of an 8 year old putting their possessions in a bindle and dreaming about running away because mom made them clean their room. It would be sort of endearing if we weren’t talking about middle aged women

I generally agree with your post and it feels almost kind of dirty for me to more or less defend Pissa, but TBF even if Josh did all the work, she actually managed to grow at least something from her "survival garden" (not on family land though, and she obviously didn't want to eat vegetables). Polissa has been open about how most of the help from her e-begging came from her family. Mem gets a ridiculous amount of help in comparison, but I can't imagine her ever growing anything. Lots of people fancy the idea of growing their own food and then loose interest in like the first two days. Mem is built different, she wouldn't even plant the seeds, even if everything was delivered and payed for her.

There are SO many goddamn layers to this cunt, and huge kudos to @toilet_rainbow for helping me fall down the rabbit hole that is the world of e-beggars.

I have some pent-up thoughts I'll sperg on below, but a more pertinent question: does anyone know what kind of content she was posting during her "2019-21 homeless dying" phase? I know she was living in expensive hotels and raking in 50k/year, but I haven't seen much of her content prior to late 2021. I'd absolutely LOVE to know what the Wendy's orders were like back then if anyone knows!

I know Mem is a unicorn amongst this crowd, but I truly cannot understand how a human being can be this pathetic for this long without SOMEONE putting a stop to things. Mem and Popsicl-Ice (if he exists -- still skeptical) clearly have the necessary funds or access to them 2liv, yet they choose to live in disgusting squalor; they are perpetually behind on every bill; and they've made it clear they have zero desire to change. There are plenty of people in the world who experience homelessness, the loss of a parent, and even being "MAIMED BY SARS," yet she's the only one I've seen who has zero shame or empathy towards anyone else's struggles. She's probably another run-of-the-mill BPD internet attention whore, but I truly think there is something else...seems like a true narcissist, but a self-destructive one. It's her needs and her needs only that matter and will make herself look pathetic to prove that case; at some point in her life, she decided no one's comfort is nowhere near as important, and especially not equal, to her own, and she wants people to feel guilt for putting their needs above hers. She needs psychiatric help.

fwiw, I'm a leftist through and through, but the gaza charity scams people I followed were constantly posting were SO obviously fake that I had to start digging around this part of the internet. alas...I ended up here, and the BP at least is one of the more sane parts of the internet I've seen in some time. anyone with two brain cells can immediately identify that a) this bitch is clearly a mentally ill grifter, and b) no matter the sob story, you should never donate to a stranger online for any reason.

Polly comes from a working class white family, and while those families definitely have their white trash branches of the family tree, there's usually plenty of extended family that have practical skills. You don't need to be a professional farmer to grow a decent veggie patch, and I'd guess Polly probably had lots of help and support from women in her family getting set up. It's actually why the trailer arc was so funny: Polissa was relying on men in her family to help with plumbing and electrical and cleanup, but she and Joh chased them off.

I don't recall Mem's actual family circumstances, but I think her dad runs his own business. In this particular case she probably wouldn't have much practical help setting a garden up, but the amazing thing about mem is she probably has more flexible family support than mem does. She almost certainly could be doing a receptionist job poorly somewhere and living a better lifestyle than she is. But mem is mem: she'd rather piles of garbage rot around her than clean up after herself, so of course she'd treat an offer for a job like a cat being fed a worming tablet
 
Pissa got a mini squash and a couple cherry tomatoes from some half-dead potted plants. She didn't get enough for a meal.
She considered it a success, though
