The funny part, and I guess the one that takes a little of the glory away from the F-35's first air to air kill. What they shot down was a YAK-130 which really shows Iran is scraping the bottom of the barrel for equipment since the YAK is most commonly just used as a training jet.

They don't. They are likely just mad because Iran did a lot of the work funding them (alongside China).

If this was Obama targeting Libya or Iraq they will all be cheering that he did it with "lighting efficiency" and there will be bipartisan support.

Ironically the Yak-130 was their most modern aircraft after the Mig-29s

After Iran, which has escalated tensions in the region by providing ballistic missiles to Iraq and Syria, directed a ballistic missile towards the NATO air and naval defense elements stationed in the Eastern Mediterranean, it has been determined that the missile was ineffective.
A type of missile, whose warhead is believed to contain chemical agents, was fired from the Dortyol district of Hatay province towards Turkish air defense systems. There is no loss of life or property damage in the area.
The security of our country and citizens is our top priority. Turkey is determined to respond decisively to any kind of attack and provocation that may come from anywhere, in the region or beyond, to threaten the security of our country and citizens.
We are committed to taking every necessary step to ensure the security of our lands and airspace with all our means and capabilities. We will continue to act in cooperation with NATO and other allies in this regard.

And unlike pussy Brits and French, Turkey would actually be willing to activate Article 5. Though after seeing what cowards Europe is, I wonder if they would even respond to an Article 5 request.
