Sean leaving really rips the heart out of the show. Sean was a relatively normal guy who wasn't involved in Internet bullshit, so people would explain shit to Sean, and in turn would be explaining it to the viewer. It's like a movie where the protagonist travels into the future, and people are explaining how everything works to that protagonist, but it's really a way to explain everything to the viewer.
 
I was at a climbing gym a few days ago and as I was putting my shoes on, I look up and notice that in a cubby there was a water bottle with a TDS sticker on it. I was genuinely rattled, you don’t understand how much of a suckerpunch having this particular slice of the Internet bleed into the real world just randomly is.
I wonder whose bottle that was, I wonder if he still listens or if he fell off the show. I wonder if he’s here on this very site, that mysterious Dickhead.

Really? They started talking about him again? I don't watch his podcast, but I do keep up with him on X. Honestly I'm not even surprised...if he wants to lose more of his audience, let him. It's only going to do damage to him at this point in time now.

Honestly he's better off finding something else to make content out of..... His Eric July hate crusade didn't work for him before and it's not going to work for him now. Hell it's not even working for the people that are currently obsessed with him now.

Well like I said before, the Eric July drama isn't going to do him any good at this point in time now. In fact he lost a great chunk of his subscribers and followers, because of his obsession with him. It's not going to change, especially now. Becides he can always try going after Ethan van sciver..... He will get a lot more responses from HIM then he will the other guy.
 
While there are a plethora of factors that have contributed to Dax's irrelevance in the modern day, I think the thing that really hurt him in the long run was the loss of a community to interact with. In TDS's heyday (~2018-2019) He was constantly engaging with people from drama-centric communities (lolcows and IBS) and having friendly relations with notable members in those communities (eg Ralph, Null, Mumkey), who he could then bring on his show to talk to. Not everyone would be hits, but he slowly built a rotating list of entertaining guests that could replace Pwning MaddoxTM every episode in the long run. Everything in 2020 blew that up (though in fairness IBS was never going to last), most of which Juju did himself. He never really found his footing after all that and ended up sliding into a community full of boring retards and pedophiles; which would suck him off (something that was obvious with IBS but didn't matter cuz the content was good) but was never going to replace the community he once had and pissed away.

When was the last time anyone here or in the general edrama sphere tuned into TDS or BPITU tuned in for the actual content and not to shit on Dax and/or Vedo? Or clipped an interview with a guest that had any legit entertainment value? Or laughed at one of his boomer-tier tweets? He's either boring or retarded and the only people who he's on good terms with are also boring and retarded. This creates the cycle we see now where he doesn't have anyone entertaining to talk to, so he just lashes out on twitter for attention or does some gayfabe BS with Vedo that no-one cares about after a day and a half.

In a way, I think Dick's content mirrors that of The Simpsons: a relatively brief golden age followed by years and years of garbage that after a certain point just blends together in a malaise of liquid shit. Sad! but probably better than he deserves all things considered.
 
i think youtube censorship fucked him too, as bad as it was in the late 2010s they clamped down a lot harder in the 2020s. his channel being deleted and lots of his clips getting fucked over plus the name means you can't find these clips like you used to. i distinctly remember there being tons of segments clipped and his fanbase really tried to "spread the word" and its like he lost the mandate of heaven in 2020.

politics wasn't as divided a decade ago either, look at how reddit allowed /r/the_donald to exist and even if you're a socialist tranny you could get along with a trump supporting hitler lover. his SJW bashing, "look at these internet freaks" style podcast was out of style once protestors were getting thrown in prison and it was normalized to cancel people for jokes, and the culture moved on by the time he tried to do something with Eric July

Nah, he had Digitroon, Crippled Jesus and Chris the Kiwi in the mix with all those other guests you mentioned.

His show started to suck because his bad choices caught up with him. He stiffed content creators, he pursued fucking an autistic 19 year old girl at the expense of everything else, he stiffed Asterios who like it or not provided the funniest content for his show, and his regulars like Madcucks stopped or slowed down participating. To a certain extent, there was always a short shelf life for certain acts like Madcucks but him telling Asterios he was going to cover legal costs, then didn’t, and then acting shocked that Asterios wanted nothing to do with him afterwards was pure retard behavior. Maddax actively fucked with the things that made his show entertaining. He got exactly what he deserved.
