And they'll have to most likely anyway, I'm reading that he's a rabid hardliner extremely close to the IRGC (which would explain why the IRGC pushed for him) and that his election means they still think they can win this war & that there's a 0% chance they're entertaining deescalation/surrender.

For the past twenty+ years B-52s and B-1s have been able to drop one JDAM at a time which turned them into loitering air strike machines for grunts on the ground. Send the GPPD coordinates to the bomber, they drop one JDAM, building go boom. Carpet bombing stopped being a thing when JDAMs were introduced in the late 90s.

He is sort of manipulating both ends of the market here because we have the ability to send war ship escorts and destroy attacking forces. The chain of logic is quite sound and strategic.

1. Oil flowing is important to national interest and that of our allied nations.
2. The insurance is what is holding back the ships.
3. Trump issues the insurance as a stopgap.
4. Now because we issue the insurance it adds an addtional layer of economic interest for the United States to keep the oil flowing.
5. That additional economic interest triggers even more executive powers that congress would have to unravel to try to stop Trump.

Trump throwing hissy fits about europeans not wanting to participate is getting annoying. What does a war between USA/Israel vs Iran have to do with Europe? That's a whole another continent. Europeans don't have colonies anymore. This has nothing to do with European interests. The only thing Europe ever gained from ZOG wars in Middle-East was millions of "refugees". Yes, obviously European leaders are terrified that if they piss off the muzzies they will do terrorism and then the "far-right" parties will get even more popular. But I genuinely don't see any reason for UK, France, Germany, Spain etc to be involved regardless. All those countries have enough domestic troubles without getting dragged into a war to "liberate" another country that will always hate the west anyway.
