For sure, that's why I find the whole thing incredulous.

I would have thought opsec would be waaaay stricter than that, not just due to the possibility of getting desked for the rest of their careers, but also due to courtmarshals etc.

Then yeah, there's zero chance any of this happened and the proof is in the fact that there's no recorded video evidence from these supposedly large briefings that occurred across multiple commands.

Trump, Hegseth, Rubio, and multiple others (including even Bibi) have said over and over again that they experienced firsthand the pain of a nation-building quagmire and have no intention of repeating it.
But a combination of trauma from Vietnam and Iraq combined with the general destruction of people's attention spans thanks to social media has caused everyone to believe every single military action that takes more than two minutes is going to result in twenty years of hell.
It hasn't even been a week, and Trump ended last year's conflict in less than two, and that was 90% just Israel beating the shit out of Iran by itself.
