I just assume everything they say is a lie. Even Ethan Ralf is a better liar than the Iranians. Putting a bunch of missiles onto civilian trucks and telling the military they can shoot those rockets at anything and anyone if their government collapses isn't some bold strategy ensuring regime survival - its just being stupidly reckless and causing as many countries as possible to get involved in the war as low-level commanders start shooting at every potentially-neutral country in range.

It's not one guy but a few IRGC intel people and a few admins around the world. During the protests one of the admins compared them to the fighting he saw in Syria and after the 12 day war back in June they were able to interview an Iranian government official so they have connections.
