bruh, if Trump decided to go full retard and put in some defector instead, the militia that's been waiting all year to act is going to have net zero motivation. Even if its some innocent guy who doesn't have blood on his hands it's a fumble. Imagine being asked to follow Joe Schmo from the DMV instead of your crown prince.
Trump is gonna OK the first nigga to call him and say "I pinky promise to do everything you and Bibi want". Simple as.
He's not interested in trying to find the perfect guy. That's not the main objective of his involvement in this at all.

"but what if the guy is lying and turns out even worse?"

Then he just gets bombed again a couple of months from now. No fuss.

Akrotiri and Dhekelia in Cyprus are covered by Article 5 since the UK still kept sovereignty over them when Cyprus became independent in 1960
I really don't want untrustworthy countries like the UK, France, or Germany having any hand in the post-war agreements. History has shown that those countries will do permanent damage to future peace and prosperity if they have a seat at the table. I'm sure 20 years from now some British fuck will be writing a book bragging about how he and his MI5 friends bribed some Iranian into firing drones at British territory in order to get British involvement in the war.

The UK Ministry of Defence posted video showing a RAF Typhoon jet shooting down an Iranian drone directed at Qatar.

The Ayatollah is going to be buried in Mashad. Trump, you have a chance to do the funniest thing ever and air strike them during the funeral.

US-Israeli airstrikes have seemingly hit an ammunition warehouse in the city of Dezful, western Iran.

CENTCOM released new footage of the U.S. Navy carrying out Tomahawk cruise missile launches towards Iran.

You realise there are literal Indian Jews, right? It's called Bene Israel and it's a whole thing.

India has not been amazing about securing the safety of Jewish communities. Unsurprising because they have their own issues. One of the most famous terrorist attacks was the massacre at the Chabad House in Mumbai in 2008.
India is absolute hell for any non-hindus. Heard some real horror stories from indian christians about how savage the hindus can be. I even feel bad for the muslims there, look up the 2001 Gujarat riots where the hindus were cutting babies out of pregnant women in the street.

so, umm when is china going to do something other than "verry bad karma us verry bad karma us 1000 of Bad feng shui for yuo"? or the goat of the so called multi polar world can't do shit?

Yeah, there's no other opposition leader I can think of who provably wielded as much influence as Pahlavi did when he called for the Iranian people to storm the streets on January 8-9, and then they actually did so in huge enough numbers to force the IR to start massacring them left & right to regain control. The more I think about it, the more I lean towards the angle that this is just Trump engaging in some misdirection. Pahlavi himself has said that he's fine rolling without an official Trump endorsement (nor does he expect one anytime soon) and that what really matters will be his support in the streets, so it might be the case that Trump will avoid ever outright endorsing him for transitional boss of Iran & instead leave that to whatever rebel forces they're able to get going in the coming days/weeks.

Worth remembering that the 'puppet of foreigners' charge was famously one of the most effective rhetorical attacks against Pahlavi's dad back before the Islamic Revolution, so they do probably want to avoid that & create/reinforce (on top of all those crowds chanting Javid Shah in Iran previously, of course) the impression that Pahlavi is the choice of the demonstrators rather than foreign powers.
Meanwhile the leader of the Lolbert party of Montana chimed in

Ukraine has a 90% interception rate on more advanced versions of the same drones we're dealing with in the middle east,
Drones that go over multiple layers of anti-air over a high density of defenders in a relatively limited area to target the same few cities.

Some targets being hit in the ME are near the shore so really can't do much about having multiple layers of defense there as most naval assets are on carrier protection. Some targets not even military so putting naval sized anti missile systems like the Phalanx CIWS probably completely untenable. But yeah Ukrainian expertise should be sought and I'm going to guess it has been but the military is slow moving so only so much could be done. Most of those DARPA/DoW anti drone weapon tests are still ongoing as well. I'm happy they're taking this chance to deploy their own one way explosive drones. At the least basically any base at risk were told to evacuate those unnecessary. Another aspect was planners had to judge how the ballistic missile risk vs the drone risk and guess they went with the missiles being a bigger danger.

The Trump administration is considering providing military protection for oil and gas tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz to ease energy prices that have climbed after Iran warned it could target ships in the waterway, according to POLITICO. The Trump administration is also considering having the U.S. government backstop insurance for tankers, as marine insurers raise premiums or withdraw coverage, even though the strait remains open. The Pentagon is discussing a maritime mission similar to past Red Sea operations, where U.S. carriers and destroyers were deployed to protect freedom of navigation amid threats from Iran-linked forces. Praying Mantis 2 soon.

Israel will remove the entire Shiite axis threat led by Iran and Hezbollah, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir said Tuesday night during a visit to an IDF air defense command center.

During a visit with Air Defense Chief Brig. Gen. "K" to Battalion 947 of the air defense apparatus, Zamir said that the current conflict has morphed from seeking regime change in Iran to also finishing off Hezbollah as a decades-long threat to Israel.

"This is one axis, a Shiite axis," he emphasized. For decades, and even more intensely since 2017, Iran sought to encircle Israel with a "ring of fire" to weaken and possibly destroy it.

It's amazing how it is somehow against the rules of this website to say how much you hate both sides of this conflict. Anyway, I hope some ragheads get exploded and some Jews lose a shitload of money.
It’s not. If it was you would instantly be banned. Stop being a performative faggot, plenty of Kiwis do hate both sides but they’re not gonna clutter up the thread whining if they get a dumb emote put under one of their comments
